Other than looks, is there any reason to go for one of these over a mid-range Chef? Seems the chef is more capable when it comes to other functions.
FYI Very.co.uk have the exsact same item for £299. - Take out the 3 months free finance option, use the code PAQ96 for £50 off and it actually works out cheaper. Make sure you pay off the finance straight away so you dont get charged intrest.
Total price: £253.98

UPDATE: Its now 279 at Very meaning the total cost including delivery is £232.98

The Kenwood Chef is the more capable and more powerful. It will last longer than the KitchenAid one. If you want one that looks similar to the US made KitchenAid then the Kenwood Kmix is available for cheaper and also featured on that bakery programme. it has more attachments at lower prices.

The Chef that I bought as wedding present over 30 years ago is still going strong and used regularly.

Cheers, that's pretty much the conclusion I had come to. Grabbed a damaged box but brand new KMC515 for £130 from Kenwood's eBay, definitely function > form for me.

Good price for this from Hart's, might be easier to get support from them than very and no credit hit.
