Kitchenaid classic mixer in white £160 from Sainsburys in store

Found 23rd Jul 2015
Whilst we've seen some deals on this recently, this is reduced from £319.99, available elsewhere for circa £300. Seen in store at Sainsburys Emersons Green (Bristol), although may be national as the in store deals on the Kmix were national recently. Personally, I went for the Kmix a couple of weeks ago, but the kitchenaid might be right for someone

ridiculously cheap

Great price for a classic.

There are a few different from the artisan(coloured ones)
From when I was looking in to the difference the classic is not recommended for bread making.

Yes, couple of hours ago. They are on the main aisle as you walk in, with some kenwood bits

Certainly the one that I posted in the deal, so I would suspect others, but you would have to visit local stores to check it out

Got the last one in Sainsburys Durham. Thanks OP. The attachments were also under half price - £33 instead of £67 I think - and they had about half a dozen boxes of those.

Just been and bought mine from Cobham Surrey - thank you sooo much always wanted one of these but £300 just too much...cakes for tea!!!!! They had all sorts of attachments pasta maker, mincer etc you could get and all the Kenwood machines where half price. I rang and they put one by for me. Very pleased

Thank you for this got one at Oldham this morning. There were none on shelf but the guy got two out from the back so worth asking. There was one left when but haven't been able to post until now. Also had a few boxes of attachments too.

Can someone explain why this mixer is a bargain ? As opposed to a £15 to £20 one that effectively does the same job?

Just about to pick one up in Liverpool Walton store, one more on the shelf and they've got the shredder, food grinder and pasta attachments half price. Quite a few of them in stock

These machines have a big motor with more power that won't wear down when working heavy mixtures and it will still be going in 10 years time

Made my first cake in it!!!! How easy and easy to clean,...look great in the kitchen tooo....now what to make tomorrow. ?..:)

Only display left in Upton, Wirral.
Non left in Cheshire Oaks.

Had to drive all the way to Nantwich to pick up the last one. They had some accessories on offer:

vegetables slicer/shredder £67 reduced to £33.50
Pasta roller £83 reduced to £41.50
Food grinder now £33.50
Fruit/vegetable strainer £66 to £33
Glass bowl £61 reduced to £30.50

All reduced to clear

Hope that helps :-)

I love my kitchen aid! I've had the classic for 5+ years.

Tips;
- When mixing cake mixture, use speed 4 or 6
- When beating egg whites use the fastest speed
- When mixing icing or anything which can haze or splash, get a tea towel and wrap it around the top so there's no mess
- Get a spare bowl and spare paddle beater, if you're like me you'll want to make a cake and icing without having to wash up the bowls in between. It also means with recipes where you need to for example make a mixture and add beaten egg whites you can do so easily.
- The silicone edged beater is not worth getting for the classic model's metal bowl, it pushes a lot of the mixture up to just above the height of the beater so you have to keep on stopping it and using a spatula to push the mixture back into the mixing area.
- use the glass bowl for bread making, the metal one gets lodged in and it's a palava releasing it. The glass bowl has a plastic bottom attachment so doesn't jam into the holder.
- For sponge mixture, I use the Mary Berry all in one method and mix it for a minute or so until it becomes what is 'dropping consistency' ie you get a spoon, scoop up a dollop and turn it on its side. When the mixture drops off its properly mixed. If the mixture stays on the spoon give it a bit more time on speed #4 or #6. Don't over-beat the mixture either.
- have fun!!
- all recipes UK is a fabulous website with useful reviews of the recipes so check it out.

Thank you so much op I managed to hunt one down and then staff kindly saved me one at long bridge in birmingham. Picked up the glass bowl as well for 30.50. Been wanting one for years and never could justify the 300 plus price tag. Argos still have this for sale for over 300 so absolute bargain

Just picked up the display model from Bridgend. It was missing a bread hook but they reduced it by an extra 50% so only cost £80!!

Just picked the last boxed one in North cream. Display price was over£300 but it rang up at £160. There was still a display model left.
