Not fighting? Odd turn of phrase....

I put a link to the espresso and the black iron. One is now out of stock. I am guessing that's why the link defaults to another colour....and it's a guess. But if it bothers you, just move on.....

What's the deal with handing in a blender to get the discount?

What's the deal with handing in a blender to get the discount?

Pretty sure I'm going to drop in a hand whisk with a battery taped to it at some point

You buy online, use the code and next time you pass JL you drop your mixer in. My local JL is over 100 miles away. I have my mixer and won't be going anytime soon. I suspect my old mixer will go in the bin well before i see John Lewis.....my intentions were good but in reality it won't happen.

Is it worth getting the 175 model for £50 extra. You get 3 year warranty but can see it going wrong realy. Another bowl and extra beater. By cober do you mean the plastic poor thing. What do you guys think. Thanks

I think it's personal.

I wanted the extra bowl. The beater was a bonus along with the cover/lid - that made the 3 extra years warranty a no brainer.

According to the description you get a cover with the 150 anyway so I've gone for that! Thanks OP

Just saw that, brilliant offer then for the £199 version.
What sort of mixer would they accept in return?

What sort of mixer would they accept in return?

It says a stand mixer. I have my purchase and don't have one that I am taking in there anytime soon.......don't pay too much attention to the detail....the code works and your return is down to you.

I never said it was.

The links were for the espresso and black iron....the black iron now out of stock - perhaps it's defaulting to a different colour.....

I am not sure if you can't read or don't understand. Or both?

The link was for the black iron.

That is now out of stock and because of that JL takes you to another colour - good marketing by them - if you don't want it then that's fine.

BTW the deal colour, was for Black Caviar. Still 142 available.....
Thanks for posting the deal. Don't understand why you should be criticised if a link subsequently becomes out of date though!
Many thanks for posting this. I have been tracking kitchenaid prices for a while and just went and bought the 175
Just grabbed one thank you for posting

I did. I also noticed that how the deal appears on my device is different from how it looks on your screenshot. On mine it doesn't show the full description mentioning cafe-latte.

Once you click on the link, it takes you to the mocha now but that is down to JL &P re-directing you because the other colour is not in stock

You too - I'm just trying to explain that the OP is not blind (as you suggested) and what you're seeing is not the same as others. Once you've clicked through on a link you're seeing an updated link - many are not, they're seeing the original.
Thank you very much for the link, I wanted kitchen aid for very long time but never found as good deal as this! Bought espresso one 175 model yesterday to be honest I didn’t care about the colour I just wanted kitchen aid! It’s not that difficult to check and click between the colours on the web site and find which one is with the deal and choose...
Great find been looking at kitchen aids for ages and wanted one in black.the black caviar one I’ve ordered.cant wait to get baking .thanks(y)
Get a Kenwood Titanium or a good KitchenAid, these Artisan machines are just kitchen fashion accessories.

As useful as your 25 comments on this thread about a broken link?
Is there a difference between the 150 and 175 other than the accessories and additional warranty?
Excellent price. Wanted the 175 bit only espresso colour left at £250. The others are dearer would have loved the raspberry or iron black. Maybe next time I don't want to regret buying a disgusting colour

Thanks for posting, OP. Got the espresso 175. Not my favourite colour, but I'll live with it for the price.
My wife is dithering on colour. Looks like we'll miss out. Might go down and see if they'll let me have one of the trade-in ones for a fiver though.

I don't trust this deal. The terms and conditions state very clearly you only get the discount if you bring your old stand mixer to a John Lewis store. Previously these JL offers stated you could dispose of your old appliance anyway you wanted. They have purposely changed this, which is why I don't trust it. They will know if you brought an old stand mixer back and can easily charge you the discounted amount if you don't. It's easy money for them so it makes sense for them to do this.

Damn, just spent £249 on something I had no plans on buying. I don't even have an old trade in unit, so will need to find one on eBay. Awesome price...
The title is misleading - it's not when you trade in your mixer OR use code, it's when you trade in your mixer AND use code. The title implies you just enter the code and don't hand anything in which is BS.
Ok I would never understand why ppl likes to use that kind of mixer instead of normal, cheap one and a bowl. My friend has that kind of like advertised here and what was driving her crazy was that it didnt really took all the cake mixture from the Walls of the bowl

You're agreeing to hand in a mixer next time you visit a JL store. No timeframe stated. The easiest defence if they try to take the discount back is that you haven't subsequently visited a JL store. Tbh I doubt they have a system in place to record who brings one in and this term is only to enhance their recycling credentials.
It's not allowing me to apply the code to the mini - Any ideas?

I don't think it'd be possible for them to claim the discount back, if they cared. I suppose in theory they could take you to court for a breach of contract but I don't see that as remotely likely
