That's false. Ryanair's limit is 55 x 40 x 20. They go in the hold (free of charge) unless you pay for them to go in the cabin. Nothing wrong with that btw. If you don't want to pay to take it in the cabin feel free to spend a lot more on a flight that gives you that. The smaller size is a personal item so basically you get to take 2 bags onto the plane free of charge, even if one of them is in the hold.
I pity the fool who paid £119.99 for this

So you have verified my point. On a basic ticket can I take anything larger …So you have verified my point. On a basic ticket can I take anything larger then 20x20x35 as cabin luggage?NO.Unless you want to pay more then your ticket price for the privilege!

Well no, not really. It's still classed as cabin luggage size. You don't have to pay for it. If you're one of the people who like to book a seat and have priority boarding, like myself, then you can easily take it on. If you want basic fare it's still FREE. Put all the stuff you need in the 2-3 hour flight into a small bag to take onboard. Don't understand all these people who rummage through their luggage as soon as the fasten seatbelt sign goes off. What could they possibly need in the next 2 hours or so?
almost 2kg leaving 8 for luggage....
