I’ll stick to just having a Kit Kat chunky for breakfast instead.

Being British these are probably relatively healthy but... branding a product with child appeal with a popular chocolate bar is intended to play into the hands of those who seek ever greater power over our lives.

Modern breakfast cereal started with good intentions- and the added vitamins and minerals that came along later were a wonderful idea. Indeed, why does Britain fail to mandate Vitamin D as a supplement addition to a staple like bread? But the (relatively) recent trend to identify cereal as just another form of sugary sweet was always an example of capitalism at its worst.

I loathe the war on sweets and sugar, but do not think meals should be purposely confused with what the Americans call 'candy'. And kids should not be encouraged to think of meals as when they purposely consume large amounts of sugar. That sets up poor nutritional habits for later life. A meal should be all about what the body needs. When we purposely eat sugary snacks, it should be with an awareness we do so for pleasure, not nutrition, and we need to take account of the upside of moderation.

They're too coward to put actual mini pieces of kitkat in there, so they put cheap puffed up chocolate dust shaped like kitkat smh

Alternatively you can break up a few kitkats in a bowl with milk. Bit like Maurice Moss smarties cereal (edited)
