Got this last time round. Absolute bargain and sounds amazing. Heat added

I've had one for a few years. Definitely worth the money although the remote control can play up as the battery doesn't get pushed in by the flap, unless they've improved it by now.

Ordered anyway

ordered cheers

We know the rountine of a hotukdeal member... don't need it, but bought it heat from me, ordered it based on the good reviews.

Thanks op. Now to buy an Echo Dot

got one since 2years now and the sound is really good!

Bought this last time round. Took over ten days to deliver - wont buy from them again.
Speaker sound itself is great.
A word of warning when using with the Dot. Bluetooth pairs fine with it but i notice a slight delay when Echo is quiet and then answers a question so i always lose the first word or so as if the Bluetooth link needs time to wake up. Also tried using the aux input, but the speaker goes to sleep and needs powering up again - no good if you want the Dot ready to answer a question. In Bluetooth mode it doesn't sleep - odd. I also tried using the USB socket from the speaker to power the Dot but i got horrendous noise coming out. Anyway i have reverted back to Bluetooth and separate power for the Dot and put up with the odd missing word or two.

Will this work with Chromecast audio

It does work with Chromecast Audio.

Got it around Xmas-time when it was at this price and it's superb. An absolute bargain for 30 quid. Looks classy as well.

Thanks for that info, was going to purchase this as my current bluetooth soundbar misses many of Alexas first words. Would have been gutted to receive this only to find it does the same. Any idea why this is, and are there any bluetooth speakers that don't cut Alexa off in her prime. Thanks.

Thats a shame as I was going to buy this for the dot and using the USB to power it.

Ive found with all my bluetooth speakers the dot unpair's and needs re connecting all the time so I always use aux if this goes to sleep then ill have to give it a miss which is a shame as it looks ideal with usb output.

Bought last month and very pleased. Connected to a TV and massively improves the sound quality of that. But also great for playing toons from my Ipad. There were a few delivery delays but I received regular e-mail updates and it arrived before Christmas. Would buy again.

This speaker (currently oos) amazon.co.uk/Spe…3DC works fine with echo dot on Bluetooth and 3.5 jack and it sounds good too.

I have this kit sound and would love it to work but all the issues posted above are true. I now have a crazy setup but it works for me.

Amazon is connected to my little speaker via 3.5 jack. It's also connected to kitsound via Bluetooth. The little speaker is connected to kitsound USB for constant power.

The little speaker does all the Alexa stuff but if I want to play music, I turn on kitsound then tell Alexa to connect to Bluetooth. It's a little messy but the kitsound is great for £30 so I decided to keep it

Is the bass any good?

People were making offers on this item when it was this price a few weeks ago. Anyone know how much was accepted?

It won't make your genitals judder but it's perfectly adequate in a medium-sized room (18 x 14 ft). Movies and music sound particularly impressive.

How have you connected this to your TV?

Cable between the 3.5 jack on the speaker and the headphone output jack on the TV. Maybe not the perfect solution for hi-fi enthusiasts but it works for me. The speaker packs a decent punch for its size, fits my space far better than a long, thin soundbar, and I really wanted the bluetooth option for playing music.

Quite. It's a well-designed and well-built piece of kit, which makes it very good value.

They call it a 2.1 system, where's the subwoofer?

Thanks OP ordered ... and for what it worth i took a gamble, and on ebay purchase clicked a subscription link to deliverydeals to receive a £10 cashback reward.. have to register credit card so make sure to cancel within 10 day trial. Already received mail confirming £10 cash back 3-6 weeks.. if it arrives.
So in a nutshell speaker for £19.99

Ordered for rocking whilst doing the dishes, Entombed should help me get through them quickly with this

Ordered one, thanks.

thanks OP. Ordered two to add to my 3 Anker portable Bluetooth speakers. Bluetooth speakers.....so very...collectable lol

£49.99 now

Patting myself on the back here, as a hi-fi hoarder I managed to resist buying this Fab bit of kit for the second time

Got mine today. Worked fine for 10 mins then started crackling and music went offline with a hissing. Luckily the other one works. Will have to send the other back.

Listening to Chili Peppers with max bass. Mmm.... nice (old school Fast Show reference)

I'll spend more time deciding what metal's gonna get blasted out of this little thing than doing the dishes then!

I just got mine, it's bass heavy alright, even with it right down, still £30 can't complain, remember to take the plastic strips off the rubber feet to firm up the bass

Excellent unit with fuller all round sound compared to the two (now) tinny sounding iPod units I've been using over the last decade.
Tried bluetooth first via my phones PowerAmp player with no problems, then connected the phone to Google Music via wifi and this was forwarded to the Contempo perfectly. I was surprised at this as I thought there'd be some sort of conflict with wifi in to the phone but bluetooth out to the Contempo. (What do I know!)
Next up was testing the USB socket with a 4Gb Sansa MP3 player with perfect playback results.
I then connected my iPod via USB which was the first negative so far as the iPod just saw the USB socket as a charger but connecting the iPod via auxillary instead cured that situation.
I love the enhanced bass boost feature, tested using my old Ska tracks as if they didn't have enough bass already.
I'm really pleased with it especially at such a bargain price.
PS. It got the wife's seal of approval too and that's saying something as she claims I'm a serial hoarder of all types of speakers.

Thanks guys! Led in bed and listening to maverick Sabre through a chromecast audio and this beauty. Seriously good for £30…!

I'm impressed with the kit, but slightly aggrieved that out of the two units sent to me by vodafone, only one was new, the other was a return...some sticky protective plastic missing and some scuffs. What bumholes they are. They are out of stock now so I'll keep the return speaker regardless.
I'm otherwise very happy with the speakers, and I shall take my vengeance on Vodafone through passive aggressive eBay feedback lol
thanks op

dies anyone else get whistle/interference when 3.5 Chromecast or other is plugged in ??

also this kit didn't like my headphone output from my TV...high noise. Other speakers (Logitech speakers, and Sony hi-fi) have had no trouble with using that output as an input. The kitsound worked fine using my phone headphone output through aux in though. Odd!
