Difficult to profit on resell though as these are refurbished and might not have packaging.

Amazon got this Hive 2 for £38 if anyone wanted to know (brand new)

Also the seller is selling the Hive 1 for £5 - Link here

At Vodafone Ebay store it costs just 25.71

Someone bought 100 of the Hive 1's at £4.99 earlier.

But yeah, maybe £15 is a bit much for resale. Tesco are selling refurbs at £23 and vodafone new at £25.

have one of these, they are really good. always a little bit of a pain pairing it though...never seems to go smoothly.

Hope it's better than their boombars, seriously underwhelming.

I have one. Doesn't pair well with Amazon Echo Dot for some reason - I lose the first 1/2 a second of anything Alexa says. Haven't tried it lately so I suppose an echo firmware update may have fixed it.

Can anyone recommend the hive 1 or 2? Considering the 1 is a fiver?

Hmm this and the previous comment has now put me off as want one for my Amazon dot. Does the Hive 1 do this as well?

What fits low budget and still not too bad for connecting to the dot?

Just set the dot to beep before she says anything this is probably the dot waking the bluetooth speaker up i'm guessing?

I bought one of these ones and it arrived today. It's practically brand new. I couldn't find any marks on it.
It was delivered in a padded envelope and it was all inside a pouch to hold it in along with the cables.

I'm currently charging it now, so no idea how good the speaker is yet.

Received mine today. Went for the white one and it was with all packaging (heavily taped up) but not impressed with condition. Front and rear of top has two dents and white plastic has started to yellow already.

Accessories present and unused so I'm guessing speaker has been a display model?

Sounds pretty good, more bass than my Qmaker M4 (which has amazing battery life).

Probably will keep it for the kitchen, wish I hadn't gone white though.

Got one of the £5 "original Hive" ones from this seller. Must say, well impressed. Sound quality very good. Considering they sent it by DPD courier well cant see how they made any money at all? Possibly a loss leader for them to get the punters in but well worth it. At £15 I'd still buy it.

Went for the 2 as it had more than double the power according to a review I read (12watts RMS vs 5watts). Reviews look really positive. Cheers OP!

Yeah... I thought the same... how did they make a profit?!?
Great speaker, got some volume an bass to It!...

Went for the Hive 1 and just connected it to my dot with the (included) aux cable.... Works a treat. Wish I'd bought another for my dot upstairs now. I've emailed to see if they're getting any more but never got a reply, if they respond I'll update here

What are you talking about? Of course you can play music on a dot if you have a suitable music subscription. Or play radio, audiobooks, etc.
