This is my first action cam, never wanted to buy an expensive one for underwater diving or mountain biking (_;). Good enough for casual cycling on local roads I suppose. Warranty/returns should be better with Costco.

Yeah I was thinking also, costco is great for returns.

However, after some initial searching it's hit and miss with quality and on 4k its only 10-15fps (which is poo), other china 4k brands atm are 25fps which is watchable.

Couple of my friends have china ones and brought to extreme holidays and its not broken yet so I have some faith in the cheapo ones.. I just need to a know which chipset or brand to go for...

Reason for 4k 25fps is that you can downsize image to 1080p and it would look very very good. If you want slow motion effect it's probably best use 120fps (these cameras so far are 1080p 60fps, which is 'ok').

Yes I maybe asking alot for something that's sub £40 lol.. But tech is there. Just need someone to manufacture it.

doubt it, nothing in the description

Not proper 4k, upscaled 1080p

Read specification detail

amazon.co.uk/Kit…E8A

this is a second generation one that does 24 fps in 4k. got one each of this and the 720 one from Costco.

I've checked kitvision website and they only list one version of 4kw, and according to their own specs it's upscaling to 4k at 10 fps.

well I bought this one from Costco online and it does 24 according to the camera. not recorded at that as I don't have a 4k screen but I'll check later.

There a number of action cams that come in the same exact case and withe the same accessories. Some of the advertise 24 frames in 4k. Hope they bought the upgraded ones and rebranded the before updating their website. Anyhow the 4k will only by interpolated. I think I'm going to go for it.

Now 117.99

Got mine today. Brilliant little camera. I saw it in some reviews but didn't realise how small and light it was. It's an updated version like someone said before and even advertises 25fps in 4k on the box. Keep looking at the web site is it will likely drop in price again. We'll wroth it. One niggle I found is almost no sound is being recorded when in waterproof case and all the accessories attache to the case and not the camera itself.
