The problem with these is they aren't great for music, and the centre lets them down for home theatre. And they're American, so you get a nice 30-40% markup on them.

Much better speakers arpund in that price range. Tannoys, etc.

Depends on layout really. In my old place where i didn't have much space and had to tuck the L&R in close to the TV I preferred the sound with the centre turned off, was more localised on the middle of the screen that way too. Where I am now and have the L&R further out and actually get some width with the sound it's much better with centre.

Yep really turn it off, you will never notice if you have decent left and rights
