Are these of the same quality as their pliers? I've ruined so many grips like this with rounding and flattening teeth, wondering if these are similar? (Rusty bolt heads are the main offenders)

Not as indestructible as the pliers as they're mostly stamped metals bent into shape, but much better than most Chinesiums you can get. Mine have been OK but I have a heavy duty 300mm version, used that to clamp on an old seized up 2" lead pipe and smashed with a club hammer to break loose.

Why are they not called Mole Grips anymore ?.

Do you need Knipex quality for mole grips? Depends, I suppose. Clamping a couple of bits of metal for welding? Cheapskate probably do you.
