Found 23rd Nov 2009Made hot 23rd Nov 2009
KNOTTINGLEY, MARINE VILLA ROAD OF MORRISONS HAS DONE A HUGE COCK UP AND THEY ADMIT ITS THEIR FAULT...

yesterday pringles was buy one get two free @ £1.99...so at the till it saved you £3.98 discount

today the offers finished

pringles is half price at 99p

this only works in multiples of 3 and its 6 max to a customer...

i bought 6 pringles so it should've come to £5.94 (?)

but at check out it says minus £3.98 for every 3 packs

therefore your gaining in money!!!!

i've just went round three times and my entire shopping's only come to £10!!!!

p.s the manager does know about this, they admit its their fault and until the computers at the till sorts itself out the offer still continues

so get there now!!!

i really don't know if its nationwide

i only went to stock up on pringles for my cousins in hong kong

when the girl on the till noticed it said minus £2...she called the manager out

and they admit they know about it...and asked me not to say anything :P!!!!!

Damn...that would have fitted in nicely with my 3 bottles of Bollinger!

The manager is pretty stupid then - all he has to do is remove the pringles from the shelves or ask the till operators not to put them through (until the error is corrected). If the error really is known to Morrisons, you will be lucky to get this but if you are going to Morrisons anyway, I guess its worth try. But don't get upset if it doesn't work

The good news is it probably is nationwide.

However, the bad news is that its probably been fixed in other places, and the Knottingley store manager is clearly the most stupid inept 'manager' in the country.

MML;6975997

asked me not to say anything :P!!!!!

LOL

Nice

Great spot op, my little one has gone to bed otherwise I would be popping to Morrisons to see if my local has the glitch.

It's a bit cruel to call the manager stupid.
Maybe he's just operating at a higher level of consciousness than the rest of us.
Let's just hope it's catching!

Where did you buy from? different shop?
good deal and heat given but it would be worth posting if people have got this deal from different shops

A word comes to mind - oh yes, theft!
This reminds me of that time there was a faulty cash machine, dishing out free money to everyone who passed by and made a withdrawal. Word soon spread and soon there were queues of people at the cash point all waiting to benefit from the error. Of course, the bank found out, called the police and then tried to recover all the money.

The difference between a hot UK deal and daylight robbery is the intentions of the seller. In the cash point case, and in the "deal" you spotted in the supermarket, the seller has not intended for it to be so.

first of all i had intentions of paying when going...as i was stocking up

secondly
when the error came up on the till, the check out girl called for the manager

i said to the manager *is this morrison's fault?*
he said not morrisons but the computer system error and until its fixed they can't do anything about it
i then made it clear that could i go round again?
he said its limited to 6 max per reciept
the check out girl then said...morrisons losing profits
and the manager just said it'll be fixed asap

in my eyes i made it clear to the manager i'll be going round
if he thought i was a theif then he could've withdrawn the product

but voted hot1

Anyone else confirm they have got this 'deal' at other branches!??

Hmm, used to happen alot in Sainsburys when I worked there, all we done was take the stuff off the shelf til it was sorted. Sounds like the manager there just doesn't really give a toss.

as Sir Alan Sugar word say, Steve Dodd your fired (well he will be by later)

People are missing the real deal here

Robinsons Squash, BOGOHP :D:D H+R for that alone

Clown. Do you recall the manager of said bank telling people "we know about the error, but help yourself"? Thought not.

Rep to the OP - partly for posting, and partly for going straight back in for more when he found out about it :-D

i'm off food shopping to morrisons now so will check this out. thanks!

Hot and Legal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't work at Preston Riversway.

Blinding deal.

every glitch could be treated as stealing in that case!!
I would have done the same and got as much out of the deal as i could:thumbsup:
