I'm really after a annual pass. Aside from it being half price 2 years ago, for about a week, there seems to be no other offers. Anyone work there who can give me a heads up on any upcoming offers? Thanks
Don't bank on the fair being open. Kids are back at school, and usually they only have the fair open at weekends after summer hols.
good! save me more money. As long as the ice cream stalls open.
That seems a great deal!!!
Not a chance my car is going through that place lol
just paid £80 for west midlands safari park

It's only for one visit. Have a 2 year old who would love to go often. Can teach him about animals etc with frequent visits ( NOT going in the monkey enclosure though. Doing the car friendly route) hehe
The Chester Zoo annual pass is better value imo. More animals & more to do & see on different visits.

South lakes is the pinnacle imo, but too far for us to get to more than four or five times a year (an hour & a half in the car with three kids is a pita!).

This is a great deal if you have kids out of school age. Have some heat.

It's only the monkey enclosure that's a bit hit and miss and you have a choice of going through it or not, the rest is kinda OK depending on weather and if the animals are in a good mood....:), we've always had a laugh everytime we've been, the first time we went through the monkey enclosure the car was only 2 weeks old and the kids were pecking so off we went and not one monkey came near us, despite all the other cars having pieces ripped off and dragged away to some secret monkey car parts shop/cave.....the last time we went through (in the same car 12 yrs later) it was hammered, still not got a rear wiper, not just the blade but the whole wiper arm gone in a flash.....we got off lightly as the car in front had it's wing mirrors, wiper blades and part of its roof nicked....lol.

Go on you know you want to....
The trick is to keep on driving. Once you stop, then they will have anything off your car.
The Monkeys do a cracking car wash at Knowsley

went to south lakes about 2 years, I felt it was OK. I know they have recently opened up a few more stuff recently so been meaning to go again. Though the way management treated the whole tiger incident( tiger killed a worker) was not good imo. I understand they have to protect their interest but could have been handled differently I guess.
Do they have lions, or any other big cats?

If they do, you REALLY want to go through the enclosure in an old skool mini. (Not a big fat BMW one, a small, flimsy old Auston/Rover/BL/Whatever one) It's FAR more scary when a lion takes an interest in you in one of those than a big, safe feeling, SUV!

(According to the rangers, it was probably the growly exhaust on mine that got their attention, and gave me brown pants)

Ah 10 pounds to see tortured animals quite a deal. The reasons for zoos and places like this is entertainment. If anyone attempts to chime in with conservation shout them down. These animals are unfortunately profit accumulators and will be until the last zoo is closed. Help doesn't start at home in this case, it starts abroad thats where money to help the endangered among them needs to go not in the bank account of a profiteering company.
HEAT added!
Reminds me of a recent viral video

Keep posting deals for computer games which require rare earth minerals for parts. These are often mined by exploited workers and don't give me the 'Nintendo sources from approved mines' garbage.

And that's why you need to keep your car locked. There are signs all over the place that tell you to lock your cars. People are stupid.

Saw someone's aerial snapped off by the monkeys and another car had the rubber strip around the windscreen ripped off! I was lucky but NEVER AGAIN!

It is very sad indeed.
Animals make millions of bucks for people and the least you could do is care for them properly.
A very good example being racehorses. When they're old and can't win anymore, they end up in burgers and kebabs.:(

The problem is when the people in front stop every 5 seconds then you're stuck (happens outside the monkey enclosure too).
We went past the monkeys and saw them from the outside, ripping the seals off the windscreens of the brand new Audis driving through there...

A bit like Care Homes then....but at least you don't end up in a burger.....yawn.
This is so hot the One Ring melted when it added HEAT.
Plus 20£ for new wipers afterwards

Dunno about "harm", but they most definitely wanted to have a "play" with my car! On the plus side, did get a couple of very good photos as they came so close. We did go through the same enclose a second time, and the same two young females came out again to "investigate" my car, having ignored all the ones in front of us. X)
Fair is open and all usual shoes are on.
