Wasn't in the Army (y) Better training ? (y) (y) :/ lol

I was based in Bielefeld in the early 90’s. We still called them Bombs back then. I don’t think I’d heard the word IED until the early 2000’s

They are 'normal hard working people', they just do a bit more for their country than others, it's a career choice. (y)

What about normal hard working people?

Thats one demented looking Ostrich.

I asked the question yesterday but they have only just got back to me.

How do you book the offer online? There doesn't seem to be a dad's go free ticket option. Do you book as normal and get a refund or do you just book the child's ticket? Thanks

Yes definitely take the car safe route. We always pull up outside the baboon drive for our picnic and watch the carnage. People accelerating and braking suddenly to get the baboons off the roof, people loosing number plates, wipers, trims. When we last went somebody was driving a sixt hired transit van through - would of loved to be there at the inspection! :D

it's a good safari park, much better than the one at Bewdley imho but if you have the slightest need for your car then I suggest that you take the road that avoids the baboon enclosure. The last time I went, I took an elderly relative and was going to drive through the enclosure, because we both love animals and thought I would like to get my relative closer. But at the last minute I decided otherwise and took the detour to miss it (you can still see them through a wire fence). I saw at least six cars that had been damaged because or the baboons, The last car I saw a baboon had manage to rip off the high level brake light built into the car somehow and if that wasn't enough an old baboon was sitting on the roof reaching in the recess and pulling out the wires!

In the Lions stomach? (highfive)

What could possibly go wrong?

We've been here many times, a lot less queues then WMSP, make sure you see the shows, sealions and birds in flight the rides are ideal for younger children below age 10

If the kids can stroke a lion, i'm in.

Let's hope that little girl's not in a French car as if there are any probs with her electric windows it's dinner time!

May not be the best times for year but a good deal for a day & a family weekend. Available to book Sundays until 9th Feb or week days available to book right until 23rd March.

Is there a trick to this? The £15 option is available till 9th Feb. But I can't seem to get that price for any weekday past this date. Or has it expired? (annoyed)

Walk ? 🤣🤣🤣. Been loads, when I was little. It use to be on ' pit trip' in a coach. Took mine in car when they young. Gunna take Grandchildren. Word of warning...make sure your kids can't wind windows down...them emus are vicious. A 🖒🖒. Good find. Ty (embarrassed)

Do you have to use your own car? Do they offer an alternative way around? Thanks

How did i miss this ;( ;( ;(

I love the people in the big range rover all terrain 4x4s with "Adventure" scrawled over their spare tire who take the bypass route.

Love this comment! (excited) Great post thanks emribina! It's in the diary! (highfive)

When we went last week 2 of the lionesses were fighting over a number plate so not just the baboons to watch out for!

I got a courtesy car at moment lol feeling like driving that through

But remember you do not have to drive through the monkey enclosure because there is a bypass route. If you're in an old bangor though I definitely recommend driving through the enclosure just for the screams of laughter from everyone in the car as they watch the monkeys do a better job of dismantling the car than the chimps that work in Kwik fit.

Knowsley Safari Park Liverpool £15 for a car up to 7 people, pay on day Mon-Fri until 20 Oct
Found 3rd Oct 2017Found 3rd Oct 2017
A great deal as normally it's £17.50 per person! No voucher needed it's the standard price.

Plenty of Monkey business here :D

Forgot to add we did risk the baboon enclosure & came away with our rear window trim half removed but some other cars had their wipers pulled off & one car was sh1t on twice in a big way all over his bonnet. (y)

Went with the Mrs & our 3 year old & it was brill. There were a pair of elephants there but the best bit was driving thru the rhinos, the size of their horns are massive & I doubt there's any left in the wild with horns that size.. my daughter loved the rides too & if you are there early enough it's well worth getting a £10 all day pass for the rides. The bird display was well worth seeing as was the sea lion display.

I think the elephants are currently on holiday on another zoo while they renovate their area in this park. At least that is what is written on the website.. I thought I point that out so that people do not get disappointed!

There is plenty to do once you get there. You can drive around the park as many times as you like, there is a reptile house, a sealion show, a big 'restaurant' area (more like a canteen), a foot safari bit which is like a traditional zoo - meerkats, giraffes and elephants, there's a woodland walk and some fairground rides for little ones which you pay extra for. Its definitely worth £15 for a car load of people - if you have pre-schoolers this is a great day out.

Is this online only? Or will it be this price if you just turn up on the 4th?

Where is this offer its not shown on there website is it definitely from this year

Did this last year - the monkey drive through, is quite possibly the most fun thing there. Kids loved the little blighters shitting and climbing all over the car! It was all good fun until the very last bend when one male monkeys decided it liked the look of the lower windscreen trim and ripped the bloody thing off! Fortunately, I got one of the keepers to retrieve it for me and it went back on without any signs of damage :) I saw quite a few car casualties in the car park later - that section of the park could be quite expensive.

We did the safe the safe route and the monkey route no problems, but whilst on the monkey route we did'nt stop just drove round slowly cars that stopped were covered by monkeys (p :)

ok lucky for them.

Im sure a lot of kids in Knowsley (where this is) are off this week?

Cheers, will probably take the kids. Outside of this deal it's really expensive, you pay per person and it isn't cheap. The monkeys have never took exception to my car, not sure what it is but they sometimes just go for one and I have seen them cause some fairly hefty damage. You can avoid it and just watch the other cars, but normally they just go for a little ride on your car and jump off before they get hit with a stick at the end of it.

Back up to Scotland today after a weekend in London and an over night at the Travelodge in Warrington Lowton..followed by a trip to the Safari Park.. The baboons were by far the most interesting part of the day - they are little bar stewards indeed! I managed to get out with only a minor issue when a larger male decided to pull out one of the lower rubber surrounds of my Hyundai i20 windscreen, look at it disapprovingly, then chew it a couple of times before casually tossing it into the road... Luckily, I asked one of the guys at the exit if he could retrieve it for me and that was a success! Back at the car park outside of the safari drive, I started to re-assemble my car, the car next to me was a black Peugeot which had a snapped off rear window wiper (the second one I saw that day!) and both of his windscreen washers had been chewed up by the little beggars! My car was also a slimey looking mess of hand/foot prints and mud etc. I'm surprised that my back wiper survived too, as god knows how many baboons decided it was the perfect place to sit!

just got back and the monkeys where very well behaved. not any car repairing monkeys today. no damage to any cars today while i was there. not like last i went and watched them destory a part or two of every car.

Fantastic the kids will love it........ i shall take a spanner and remove my wiper arms before i go in i think ;)

depends if you still like looking at little monkeys

surely this will eventually become the normal price as the offer seems to be on allll the time now!

I have seen them take apart windscreen wipers, number plates as well. taping the windscreen wipers were of no use as my friend found out. the monkeys still managed to take out their windscreen wipers and washer buds that were taped

We thought we were safe as we have an internal aerial. And smugly watched the car infront getting taken apart by the monkeys. What we didn't realise was that they were under the car removing all the parking sensors, the buds for the windscreen washers, and various wires under the car that we didn't even know were there.

Inset day on the 24th. Great timing.

Went on Thursday, place was packed but still had a good day, tip take own food and drink long queues, at all food outlets.

We had a season ticket a couple of years ago and even though it's an hour away we still found it to be good value. I've no time off work next week so sadly won't be able to use this deal.

Shame half term was LAST week.

Yes, I can confirm its a sea lion show. I literally live 2 minutes from the park and have a season ticket. My kids love the place and we go quite regularly

You can simply drive around the monkey enclosure & watch idiots have their cars destroyed. It's well signed so easy to avoid. There's also a bus you can take through the monkey enclosure but when we went it was a bit pricey. This is a good deal, as a family of five it normally costs us a fair bit, we'll be going soon. Have some heat!

i have not bee but we were thinkingnof goung a few montha ago.I think there is an option to avoid the monkey area if you like your car!

Isn't this where the monkeys are known to pull the wipers off your windscreen and nick your hubcaps?

I'm guessing here but it could be Knowsley, I just can't be sure. If only the OP had bothered to include the location in the title.

I recommend, having found it on HuKD, a tenner? you cant go wrong. Although it was a 2hr30min drive, the kids absolutely loved it. the monkeys are the best bit.

Can't possibly go to Knowsley without going in the monkeys. Got an annual pass and go thru the monkeys every time. All adds to the fun of the safari.
