Another 7" tablet to add to the mix. It's open Android (with a Kobo overlay) so full access to Google Play store and apps. The screen isn't as high resolution as the Nook HD or Nexus 7 but pretty much beats everything else out there and it comes with 64GB of storage. The processor seems OK and it seems to be more slanted towards being a book-reader with full Android functionality.

decisions decisions ... *twiddles thumbs*

I had to return the same tablet which had a number of defects, the accelerometer was the worst, would display apps in portrait, you had to select and only then would it adjust to landscape,,camera was temperamental, was only working when it felt like it,and that was rare, the browser would seem fast, then with same website would struggle, finally I took it back for full refund.

Interesting. Was that before or after the software update in April? I was looking at this as an alternative to the Nook HD that's been posted for the same price. The Nook has a slightly better screen and SD slot but for general browsing and as a book reader I don't think the difference in screen res would be that noticeable. The 64gb storage and native Android implementation was swaying me to the Arc until you posted your comment.

I posted this exact tablet at this price from Currys a couple of days ago - but it went cold.

I did the software update on the arc while setting up the tablet,it felt quite nice as a tablet, picture quality was good, just the defects I described, unfortunately those defects made it unacceptable as a gift for my wife, eventually bought an archos cobalt 97,bigger tablet, wish I could afford an I pad with more refined technology, however had I seen the deals for Samsung galaxy 3 ,I might have gone for that,I already have a nice kindle fire HD,so it's easy to compare, but you buy what you can afford.

Some of those nook deals do seem really good,a sd card is a clincher at times, and they have play store as well, and jelly bean as well, and a powerful processor, would love to try out the 9"tablet.

contact a mod and get the heat transferred to you. This is disgraceful!1

I didn't post it to get heat, I just wondered how a deal can be really bad one day, and really good the next.

does thos mean you can get kindle books through the amazon app on this then? will the download.
