Just bought one. Will take it back Monday as reboots a lot, is very slow and generally not fit for purpose.

Don't waste your money. Just download their app instead. Not all kobos books are compatible with the ereader.

Yeah, this would be a fantastic deal if this ereader wasn't terrible all-round (constantly freezing and rebooting, errors processing books that cause it to crash outright), you'd be better off just using the app (or a kindle!).

Surely you can convert to suitable format with CALIBRE

Strange, I've had one for over a year and it's been fine.

Is this the same one WHSmiths sell or are the poor comments related to this one from Staples ?

Does look to be the same as what is on WHSmiths I know a few people who have one of these and no problems with them.

My wife and I have both got the Kobo and have used them extensively for nearly two years without any problems. You can use it to borrow books from your local library where they support epub editions. Great price! Have some heat.

has anyone tried ordering, I tried to order 2 (in order to get free delivery) but it says only 1 in stock...thinking this might be a glitch

I have ordered one and went through ok.

Mums Xmas present sorted ! Cheers .

great price, want it just because of that but already have a kobo mini for work travelling and a Nook glowlight. Must resist. FWIW my Dad had this and wasn't thrilled, persuaded him to get the Nook glowlight, loves it. Buttons, light, able to have books organised how you want by just sideloading, no messing with book shelves.

Had on for over a year, while the touch element is that sensitive, it is okay for a ereader. And we'll worth 20 quid.

Says 'sold out' now

Sold out. Not just OOS so looks like that's it.

yep bit nook wont exist come christmas b&n are closing up the ebook division.

Aura is still on sale. Beats the "new" paperwhite on every department. Mines never skipped a beat.

I sometimes wonder if people here are on the same planet, the two Kobos in the house work reliably and Calibre has never failed to convert an ebook from another format to read on the Kobo.

In fact the only problem with these and the two Nooks, is the rate at which the battery depletes when it's not in use (even turned off). I've got an old iRiver that was switched on after a year of inactivity, it still had battery life, whereas the Kobos and Nooks will always need a charge after a month.

Did you start with a fully charged battery? If you've connected it to your wireless network, you may find that the reboots are updates. I buy lots of these as and I've not had any problems. You may have a faulty one or it could be your expectations ; these aren't super quick; they're not tablets, they are e-readers, and are similar in performance as the Kindle or nook. They are perfect for reading (especially in sunlight). Before you take it back Monday, download some free books and try it a little longer.

Oh. Fantastic price. Heat added

out of stock now.

I've had my Nook Glowlight for over a year and only charged it twice in that time

Just received a phone call, 'sorry there is no stock, your order cannot be filled as the system over allocated stock"

kobo is done

Went to get a Kobo in Telford branch but they only had the display device left. It looked like it hadn't been used and we were tempted to take it until we saw that the Kindle Touch was only £39 so came away with one of those instead

Echoed now so didn't matter much, but I got this for my wife at Christmas and she loves it. Never frozen, rebooted our anything.

thank you very much OP managed to get last two in store really chuffed

Got email saying no stock...
