Ergonomic with an 8-inch screen

Love books, but don't have the space for your growing collection at home? Then get yourself an eReader like this one. The Kobo Forma eReader is a fantastic alternative to reading print books.

With 8 GB of built-in storage – you can store thousands of your favourite books on it – so there's no need to lug around your heavy hardbacks on your travels. The 8-inch screen also gives you plenty of page space, and the curved design is comfortable in your hand so you can hold it for hours while getting lost in your favourite novel.

Portrait or landscape mode

With a digital ink display you can read from any angle in portrait or landscape mode. You can even set the text to rotate automatically as you shuffle into a more comfortable reading position. So, it doesn't matter whether you're sitting up on a chair or lying down on a beach - reading on the Kobo Forma always feels natural.

Waterproof

Want to read by the pool, or in the bath? Then don't let anything stop you. Kobo Forma has an IPX8 rating – which means it's waterproof for up to 60 minutes in up to two metres of water – so don't worry about dropping it in the tub, along with your rubber duckie.

Easy on your eyes

Reading on a screen doesn't have to be harmful to your eyes. The Forma has an adjustable front-light, that gradually reduces blue-light exposure to keep you alert and reading in comfort. And digital e-Ink looks just like real ink, so you can carry on reading before you hit the hay.

how does this compare to kindle oasis the new gen
Not a fan of Kindle mostly because of not wanting to be more-or-less locked into the Amazon system. Oasis has a 7" screen, Forma is 8" (cue jokes about the extra inch).
My KOBO is 'steam driven' and still going strong which is more than I can say for the Kindle it replaced/

BTW you don't have to be tied to Amazon. calibre-ebook.com/
Very tempting. I sent my Oasis 3 back due to ghosting even with page refresh set to every page turn.

I've used Calibre for years with Sony & Nook & kobo devices (and Moon+ on Android & Stanza on iOS) but still prefer to just not get into Kindle/Amazon territory. Kindles don't do much that the opposition can't do and I prefer to stay away.
If you have a kobo and the amazon books thats just over seven quid month how could i use my kobo with the Amazon books subscription?whats the process
Very tempted, but I wonder if it's worth waiting for whatever's next if you already have something similar (I'm using the Aura One). Hoping to see colour displays as the next big thing for ereaders
