About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Just purchased the Kobo Libra 2 from BT Shop for £119, it has free UK shipping (I had to pay £3.49 for delivery to Northern Ireland, even though we're in the UK... but it's still a great offer anyhow). It costs £169.99 almost everywhere else (Amazon, Currys, Argos etc...), so a very nice saving of £50!
Been researching e-readers for a while now and have decided that I think the Kobo is a better buy pound for pound than the rest. After narrowing it down (there are lots of brands and models to choose from), the leading contender was probably the Kindle Paperwhite. Still, for several reasons, such as you can read almost any format on the Kobo, can read library books for free without the extra faffing on the Kindle, page turn buttons on the side are included, better grip on the side for holding, probably one of the best quality screens on an e-reader currently, slightly larger screen without being an excessive size or weight, amongst many other reasons and to top it off, this is the cheapest price I've seen it anywhere in quite some time.
There are a lot of people arguing online that the white bezel looks better than the black bezel, it doesn't reflect light and doesn't show fingerprints etc..., which is a definite benefit over the black. I'm more used to having a black bezel on my devices but at this price, I'm happy to give the white bezel a try for £50 less - either way, I'm not too concerned, as I can always just add a nice case of my choosing for a tenner at a later date, if it does bother me at all and that will resolve it.
I understand not everyone will be looking for an e-reader but for those who are, this currently looks like the best deal out there, on arguably one of the best e-readers currently on the market.

sorted byI look at Kobo = Android, and Kindle = Apple... Kindle gives you convenience, whereas Kobo gives you flexibility and more features. The hardware are both equivalent.. (edited)
*Flexible with features, not build quality :)...Overdrive and Pocket...
Build quality and Carta screen are equivalent to Kindle, only with more features. (edited)
This is far and away the best reader on the market and great value at the normal price of £160 or so.
Go to Mobileread to find out how to customise it exactly to your requirements, or just enjoy it.
Beats Kindles hands down.
Love having Pocket and Libby on the device. You can add more features and supports other Ebook formats natively that a Kindle would be fussy with. In terms of buying books, Kindle does have more paid book choice but Kobo are not far off and get all the major releases.
Great to use the Google play book app and then sync across devices too.
Considering the Kobo...but how much hassle would it be converting my Kindle library? I know Calibre can convert the format, but what hassle is there in removing the DRM protectio?
Does this support article help? Looks like you 'pull' ebooks via Sync button on your kobo
