Good price. Bought one for a pressie at xmas and its got a very good quality screen. You can buy cheaper but this is a major brand.

Cracking Price, love these Kodak Frames, come with remote too.
Argos cheapest price was £70 so this is cracking!

The problem with some digital photo frames is that the design of the device regarding image update is not slow enough.
The problem with the ebuyer frame we have - the longest display period is only 15 seconds which causes too frequent updates and becomes quite annoying (2-5 minutes between updates would be better).

Never liked 7" ones, do you still get a black border with this?

A good tip for these is to get a cheap timer plug (like the type you use to switch your lights on and off when on holiday) and set it up so it only runs at relevant times. of the two that we have one frame allows this and start s to cycle through the images automatically when the power hits it but the other just goes to a menu screen. worth checking to make sure you get a model that does this otherwise you find you won't use it half the time

That is a good tip!

before u buy understand size and price have little to do with how good it is.

This has a really low resolution, it's better to get a no-name model with a higher resolution and a proper 4:3 aspect ration so you don't have to crop or have black borders.

I bought the £69.99 Linx Ality 8" from Play for the wife last week - this has a cracking 800x600 (4:3 format) screen. - but the software is a real let down; so screen size / resolution isn't everything...

The resolution is fine for such a small screen. You'll always have to scale the photo's before you put them on the frame anyway.

Depending on the frame you don't neccessarily have to scale your photos beffore use. For most people if you buy a 4:3 frame that scales correctly all you'll need to do is ensure all portrait photos are correctly orientated before copying to the frame. That said I resized all my images to 800x600 for my frame; fotosizer chewed through 10,000+ images is a couple of hours.

what?

apologies, makes more sense with the link:oops:

Display resolution: 480 × 234 pixels

That's a big no no.

Who can recommend a decent 4:3 one then?

I received the photo frame and was not very impressed. The image is not perfect and you need to have a memory card(not supplied) because it does not save pictures to the internal memory.

Decided to return the item and contacted Play.com for collection and was told that I had to pay £8.00 because it was an anwanted item. It is their policy but there is nothing written anywhere about this return policy...:?

That's just standard distance selling regs. It's only up to the supplier to cover return costs if the item is faulty.
