If you do not want to spend a lot, you can take advantage of this deal, if you want to start photogrpahy in a serious way go for something more expensive with more manual capabilities.

As you can control exposure modes...Auto, manual, program, aperture & shutter priority, for just £29.00, IMHO, a good little camera to play with...
But it runs on batteries so not so good
Not an issue,a cheap set of rechargeable and away you go. Ideal if abroad. O power issue , many of this style are still like this.

But it runs on batteries so not so good

Probably a plus, saves having to spend £10-20 on a second battery, need to have a wall charger with you to charge if both run out, batteries you simply replace from near enough any shop
Tesco are selling it refurbished on Ebay for double the price!
Ordered Thanks
Thanks ordered

Any camera is better than no camera for beginner! The large zoom range will let you experiment with composition more than a smartphone with no zoom, and it has manual controls which will introduce you to the fundamentals of photography. However if it's anything like the other inexpensive bridge cameras I've used then it won't be fully manual (for example my old Fuji in manual mode would let you choose from a couple of specified aperture values rather than the full range) and I can't find any specifics on Kodak's page confirming how extensive the controls are, and it doesn't shoot RAW photos which have a lot more scope for tweaking and editing. The sensor and lens will obviously not be as good as a "proper" camera system either.

However for a starter purchase under £30, it's as good a place to start as any. Use it for a while and you may be perfectly happy with the results you get, or if you catch the bug for photography but feel this camera is a bit limiting (or just want something a little better) you'll have some experience to know exactly what you want out of your next purchase.

Useless unless you have a battery

Right on. Also useless if you don't have a memory card. Also useless if you don't have hands, eyes, or are witless enough to think that 29 quid should buy you a Hasselbad...

It takes batteries. It says they are supplied. Rechargeable AAs are available. Lithium AAs are available. Cheaply.

Using standard batteries is a definite plus point as you're virtually guaranteed a worldwide suitable power source without the inconvenience of proprietory ones.
Bargain, but Tesco will charge for delivery OR click and collect. So, added a £3 Nerf gun for my son, the way I look at it the Nerf gun is free.
By the way, did not need it, just wanted it, your fault !!!

Great. Just ordered one. Thanks for posting!
at £29 people probably don't care. however be aware this probably isn't a Kodak camera at all. and as reflected in the price is a bad QC Chinese subcontracted POS. this is basically the identical camera.. again for £29, who cares but if u are expecting more than a point and shoot, careless purchase, put the money toward something better... pcmag.com/art…asp
Add 50 A4 pouches on to make it £30 to get free C&C
