Not a great price for one recordable DVD but they claim to last for up to 100 years and are around £20 for a pack of 10 elsewhere from what I can tell. These are probably good to put photos and files etc on that you just do not want to lose, but I would be tempted to burn as slow as the DVD burner will allow and not at 16x.

makes me laugh who is going to be around in 100 years time to prove they last and have the receipt to prove it lol.
to be honest as you said its not a great price as you can get 5 in tesco or asda for £1 usually but not in a jewel case.

how many in one pack? 5 or 10?

1! "single in jewel case",

Dont think thats a good deal several places selling them for between £7 to £10 a pack of ten

Any idea how long a normal disc is good for??? I have cds that are at least 15 years old that dont seem to have deteriorated at all. Anyone know if these are anything special or just normal discs with cleaver packaging that points out something you didnt know?

I have one or two recordable DVD's that are about 4+ years old that are getting read errors. I have bought plenty of cheap crap DVD's though, and I suspect the newer ones have better longevity.

Are your 15 year old CD's recordable ones (standard shop bought ones won't be affected the same way as recordable)? The idea behind them deteriorating is to do with the dye that is recorded on to. That dye can deteriorate and take your data with it.

Any links? I can't find any coming in at under £10 for a pack of ten when delivery is added.
