It's not very encouraging to read the only review on the Play.com site is from a customer who said that they only put it in a plastic bag to send it.

Sounds as if it was still boxed, but you would expect a bit of additional packaging surely, for something like a camera.

I am sure that Play.com aren't alone in this, but I do get a bit annoyed by mail order companies who sent out items of optical and electronic equipment with no extra 'padding' to protect them from the ravages of the Royal Mail or courier companies.

This is one reason I think why Amazon are so popular, as they are usually quite good in this respect.

Also Play only refund you a fixed amount which is a lot less that what it usually costs to return the item.
