This isn't a Digital SLR. Digital SLR's are a different class of camera to this.

It's not a digital SLR.

And the censor resolution and zoom rate are simply the wrong way around. I'd advise against going for low pixel high zoom cameras unless you always happen to carry a tripod around with you (or have EXTREMELY steady hands).
Still a decent price, just better off going for less zoom and higher pixel.

Fuji FinePix S5700 is a better cam forthe money.

This is a better camera than the Fuji S5700 although it suffers from fairly poor appearance. You are limited with all of these small long zoom cameras but for the price this has an excellent lens and fairly good stabilisation (better than the Fuji). Old model but worth consideration.

I don't believe you are right. The size of the sensor is a far more important determinant of quality than how many pixels have been squeezed onto it for marketing purposes. The image stabilisation on this camera really does work so that steady pictures are taken - it really doesn't matter how many pixels you have if you cannot hold the camera still whilst the picture is being taken.
