Not so sure about that... The write speed on this is ‘up to 5 MB/s’

I have another couple already and plan to use them together as a cheaper alternitive to using a 500gb ssd.

Now that’s enterprising! Didn’t expect such an interesting reason will the resulting Franken-drive not be quite a bit slower than an SSD though? Good luck with the project anyway

You can get a 480GB SSD for similar money. The labeling to not mix them up and see what is on them without plugging them all in to find things/load time and slow speed actual use will be a pain. Plus the fail rate for USB sticks is seriously higher. All of which suggest a doomed project.

Cold, you can pick up better brands such as Kingston AND usb3 for the same money on Amazon
