Fairly old printer with expensive toner.

If you want this printer, don't buy it from their Amazon shop.

Buy it from Ryman website and go via Quidco for 7% cashback and the same price and free delivery.

FYI, looks like about £55 per colour, so £220 for a full set.

just a personal point but in my experience, Konica printers are all a pain in the bottom and a nightmare to fix.

Looks like you can't refill these cartridges, means it is crazy expensive for new toner

Can anyone suggest the best laser (colour or Mono) which is best/easiest to refill - i.e. best value for money?

Does it ship with half empty toner or is it worth buying two just for the toner?

I got one of these, Dell 1320CN Printer with Two sets of Dell Toners = £124.95 + £8.95 delivery £133.90 from Dell 1320 Colour Laser
QA full set of toners from them is about £48 but you can actually get them cheaper on Ebay.(Ebay search)
The toners they send with the printer are starter sets so not full capacity, Half capacity I think.
Even so I think it is a great bargain. Prints great and, surprisingly, even prints great looking photos on standard A4 paper.
It is also a network printer so plugs straight into my router for access by all my Pc's in the house.
I would certainly get one of these again.
Hope this helps.

I'd also vote for the Dell 1320. Usually comes up on offer regularly for £100. Great printer, good toners available from Ebay.

What a load of scaremongering bow larks

Shame the 1320 isn't Mac compatible

What a load of scaremongering bow larks

I had an HP laser printer ruined by refilled cartridges; they leaked excess toner onto the drum and it became an uneconomical repair. Others in the company had the same problem and the stationery dept moved back to genuine.

Maybe it's unlikely but it isn't 'bow larks'.

Sounds like the Dell is a good solution with the one downside that it's big and heavy. As an alternative I've had great service from a Samsung CLP-315 (claims to be smallest colour laser) which I bought for under £100 a couple of years ago. Toner is expensive (around £150 a set) but there are refills out there at c£100/set.

The deal is good but these printers will cause you problems, we had 5 of these at work and they kept asking you to replace toners when it was not empty.

Also the sensors get dirty very easily, as a result it will tell you that you need to install a toner even though there is one in.

To be honest for home use you could probably live with it but for business use expect at least 2-3 call a day about the printers.

Bought one of those Dells a few months ago for the office. Good deal, but just bought this as its better value coming with 3 sets of full toners, and i need it for my MAC.

The two are very similar, that is they are both manufactured by Xerox, and the replacement toners are very cheap because you are buying only toner. The drum is a seperate unit on both machines. Only the Phaser is the older model, and only 4ppm colour.

Ditto re above and alleged empty reports. These printers will either bankrupt you or you won't use it.

I used to work for Konica Minolta as a technician, over all from a hardware perspective these are good printers but no better than a Dell or HP etc.

Furthermore they are not Mac Compatable, GDI only...... so as usual they really cut corners in software support.

so which one then the konica the dell or the xerox? I'm fed up with our kodak "meant to be the best inject replacement ink cost" crap.

The Samsung - perhaps?

Whichever suits you best.

If you are using a PC - The dell from IJT I have and recommend strongly, but came with 2 sets of starter carts.
If you are or might use a MAC as well as PC - The Xerox from IJT I also have and love but is slow in colour 4ppm, but came with 3 full sets of carts.
The Konica Minolta, well, is more expensive to run in my opinion.

If you`re not printing colour in a hurry on a daily basis, buy the Xerox.

NEVER EVER BUY THE XEROX 6110N if you want to maintain your sanity. Do a Google search for the problems. I've got one which I am about to throw out. Smearing and/or patchy black print (even with brand new Xerox black toner in), paper jam for no reason whatsoever, false ink low message and so on and so on.

PLEASE I BEG YOU GUYS AND GALS, GET ANYTHING ELSE. I went with the reputation of Xerox, how wrong I could I have been.

Are you sure you have the Xerox printer? It doesn't sound like it. I have the Xerox, the toner is not just one; THERE ARE FOUR SEPARATE TONERS: Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. At first this printer looks good, but it is utter rubbish, never again. I would not take one even if I was given it free. Not just my opinion, but the opinion of thousands of others with the same printer.
