Kontact Mobile PAYG Flex £5 Top Up = FREE 111mins or texts + 350MB data @ Kontakt mobile

One of the best PAYG deals available that I can find which would be great for low users.

Top up with £5 on their Flex tariff (and get free £10 which gives you) 111 mins or texts and 350MB data each month, plus you get to keep your original £5!

So in effect free 111 mins or texts + 350MB data every month.

Other providers such as tesco do this with triple top up, but you have to top up with a minimum £10 and their benefits are not as good. 3 gives you 150MB data for £5 top up.

I do not know of any other provider that is so generous [please note Kontact Mobile will only give you this allowance once a month, not once per top up).

If anyone knows of a better deal, then by all means let us all know!

You get 111 mins/txts + 350MB FREE and you can spend your £5 top up on whatever you like. Not sure why you're having difficulty comprehending that?

Calls, texts and data = 9p - quite expensive, but if you are a low user and can stay within the allowance then you can't get better. No really fair to compare PAYG with a SIM only deal.

A £6 Life mobile gives 1500 mins and 1GB data or something, but if you don't need 1500 mins or don't want to spend £6 but get some FREE mins and data then the Kontact deal is REALLY good. If anyone can provide a PAYG deal that is better, I'm all ears.

9p for txt,min and 1mb.
But they charges you whenever they likes, similar to Vectone and never gives you full £10 promised.....and you just can't check how much minutes or MB you have used. They are crooks!
Facebook page hasn't been updated for months...
Smells fishy there.
I sugest to avoid!

If you are really low user - Three is the best with 1-2-3 tariff.

Company has been in the mobil business from 2010. Maybe someone on here with accounts experience can check through their accounts on companies house and tell us what the status of the company is (MOBILE FX SERVICES)

Yes the same number of mins, texts and data with 3 costs you £5, with Kontact it is FREE.
And if you're going to HAVE to spend £5, you may as well take the iD/life mobile deal - you get so much more for that £5.
My deal was about spending £0 and getting the maximum value for it for your top up.

Certainly proved me wrong there, Sherlock!

I've been with KontaKt Mobile for a couple of years, and they are great for low users - and even better if you have your most frequently called friends/family with KontaKt too, as calls between them are FREE. Customer service is excellent, and my only gripe is that if you do unexpectedly go over the free inclusive monthly call allowance, then the 9p/min or 9p/text does use up your credit pretty quickly and you can find that you get a couple of auto-£5 top-ups taken in succession. Overall though, a good deal. Service piggy-backs on Vodafone.

Try FreeAsYouGo
They gives £5 for free every month,no top up required.
Charges are quite expensive for calls, minutes or txts. But HEY IT IS 100% free £5 every month and no need to give Credit Card number, like for Kontakt Mobile...

They want your credit card details to order a sim?

The one good reason for PAYG is NOT giving your bank or card details for dodgy companies to hold you ransom over!

life mobile better. much better than id mobile.

£6 per month. i get 1500 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb 3g data. i know its 3g but i have wifi at work and home. service is good aswell being ee

good luck with that

No way! They can't stop short codes, it's against Ofcom rules.

Still a good deal, use them on calls/txt/data = 55mins or 55 txt or 55mb data and then top up again for the free stuff.

They are polish-they can
Used them for a year, but they treat their customers with complete disrespect and will con you like a mug...
Been charged 3 times £5 a month-no credit on account. Then charged me £5 next month-no credit again.
No number to call-just email and Facebook. C R A P big way,try and will see...

I used Kontakt for about 2 months. The second my free allowance ran out and I switched over to PAYG rates every single call I made dropped after about 4 seconds!
I used up my credit very quickly whilst trying to reconnect these calls, and these dropped calls put me off using this network.

Don't be silly, they operate in the UK and both the owners are British citizens so have to run their business according to UK laws and Ofcom rules.

They have filed their tax returns here. They are not Polish, one of the owners is Polish (from the surname) origin but he is UK citizen.

Should have complained about the credit the nicked off you. They seemed to have really traumatized you for you to be against them this much.

Where to complain, when this is 2 persons company.......Been with them for 1 year so know all very well.
Kontakt not that bad otherwise:

- Free £10 credit for calls and txts when top up by £5
- 350MB of data allowance
- 1000 points, which can be converted to £3 each month using their Premium Reward program
- Calls 9p to almost every destination in Europe are included in free £10 credit allowance

Basically you have £18 in total when topping up by £5.
Bad thing - £10 free credit expires after 30 days if unused, £5 stays until you use it.
Bad thing - you can't check how much of free credit you have used.
Very Bad thing - they steals money when they likes.
9p for 1MB is high price to pay.
And there is far better MVNO's to choose from depending on your needs.

Do you know any other alternative s?

FreedomPop is good for data, but not voice calls as they use VoiP.
Network 3 is best bet, especially their "Internet with Legs" Sim, giving 200MB free monthly, plus you have 1-2-3 rates and "Feel at home" all across Europe and in many parts of the world.

should they not notify me through a text message or email , i have heard nothing from them , i only found out the other day as couldn't make any calls , i have had my number for 15 years and use it for business , it will be a disaster to lose it now . Any ideas please ? I'm desperate .

Nothing is for free dude .

another one bites the dust...

I ported my number to KontaKt three years ago and received a call from a friend on Christmas Day but when I tried to make a call I was unable. I've never received any notification from KontaKt of their demise and Vodafone whose network the number is still on have proved incapable of providing a PAC. Bad show and something I thought Ofcom was there for to protect users.

There is NO WAY you can get your number back. Forget it and don't waste your time. My uncle works for OFCOM so I know law very well. You had 30 days till 14 of December to ask for PAC code, they (Kontakt Mobile) clearly stated this on their web page. Thats enough and they don't need to warn you by SMS or e-mail.
Always remember, that you are taking risks moving number to MVNO and you should be careful too.I would never ever move my number, which I have for 14 years, to Kontakt/FreedomPop or other unreliable company.
