Simple answer, chuck the food out. Priorities.

Wow, am I the first one to think this is overpriced! I paid £10 (£9 with discount) for various kegs at Morrisons but wouldn't pay much more for any keg of froth!

Yep! Lots in Tesco Wrexham last night
Keep in mind this has to be drunk in around 24 hours or it starts to go flat.

I found out the hard way when the Mrs bought me one for my birthday and I attempted to drink it all lol.

Haha you should have told me I'd have helped you out
Unless your going to drink it the same day your better off with bottles. Even then it's very close to been same cost
As a rare drinker, but when I do its these things, can anyone tell me the reason to have this over a bottle?

I usually only have these at Christmas so I leave the key outside on my back step til it's needed....usually nice and cold then.
Not vegan friendly unfortunately, Tesco are doing a few that are now though
Bottle of this, 500ml. Even if you don't buy a crate they're always three for £5.25 at Tesco and probably cheaper if you shop around. So worst case scenario £21 for six litres split into 12 bottles which won't go flat.

However I will say that kegs are good fun for parties. Almost never great value for money though.

Oh and you do get a cooler bag. But it's not worth £8. Unless just putting a price of £8 on something makes it worth £8. Open to debate.

500 mls bottles are a little cheaper at ASDA, 4 for £6 so same price as this for 6l. Might even work out cheaper on the cans but prefer the bottles. It would take me weeks to drink this as I'm not a big drinker so definitely better off with the bottles. Always have some koppaberg in the fridge.

Most fridges have adjustable/removeable shelves - remove or adjust a shelf by re-arranging your food to accommodate it...

Nope, stick to your bottles/cans, keg has novelty affect at a friends BBQ/party, nothing else.
Beware. Bought one not long. 12 hours in the fridge to cool. And you need to let it settle for a couple of hours or it’s just foam in a glass. Good idea. But doesn’t work.
These are rubbish the gas goes in them and you Carnt get it all out either worst thing I ever bought last year
That £2 a pint, not that cheap I don't think
I just want to take the red lid off to see if theirs a giant ring pull underneeth

I don’t think it goes flat within 24 hours. We had a Strongbow dark fruits keg in the fridge for over a week after opening it and it still had fizz!
It would be a deal for ~£9. Sorry ice cold from me…
I cannot get my head around these kegs being “hot” deals. Is £18 really the cheapest this can be found for? £3.60 per litre?! Even the 12 x 330ml cans at £12 is a better offer at £3.04 per litre!!

Did you pour it whilst the keg was standing upright?

I found it poured mostly foam also in this way, but when the keg was horizontal whilst pouring it poured perfect pint.

Still better with bottles/cans though for value.
Look good for BBQs but I've been put right off by the comments and glad I didn't buy one yesterday.
Overpriced, bottles and cans are both cheaper. How this b came a hot deal is beyond me.

I left the key outside my door once, and all my contents dissappeared.
These are only cider for duty purposes and are really alcho pops. True cider only comes from apples, and not even pears.

Don't understand the comments about going flat or losing gas. I bought two when they first came out last year - tanned one at a festival, the 2nd stayed frosty sitting in my garage for almost a year. Poured decent glasses all summer/autumn/winter, tasted spot on and emptied fine. Keep it cool, always close the tap in-between pours and you won't have any issues. £18 is a bit steep tho.
