Korg Mini Kaoss Pad 2 Dynamic Effects Processor reduced from £119.

These are great portable effects processors for musicians and DJs. They used to be a bit pricey for what they do, but now at this price well worth it.

Not just for musicians either, anyone can have great fun with these devices. Great introduction for children and adults into electronic music and looping etc.

You can buy direct from GAK for £46.99 plus £2.99 delivery or from GAK store on Amazon for £54.99 inc delivery. Delivery was by FedEx.

Ordered mine on amazon yesterday at 2pm and it came this morning!

I would try the free novation launchpad app from the iTunes Store before buying this, considering you have an iPhone or an iPad

I want one but I don't know what to do with it because I record music at home on the computer rather than performing live. After looking at some videos they seem to want you to buy the Kaossilator 2 as well as there's features missing from this that stop it being useful, which they've put on the Kaossilator 2 instead. Looping/building up loops and external source/mic are on the KO2 not the KP2 so all those effects go to waste without having something external to make use of.

By the way, if you order directly from GAK it's £46.99 plus £2.99 postage so it's over £5 cheaper than on Amazon

Didn't these used to be quite expensive? The Muse frontman has one installed in his guitar if I recall correctly...

For the money its a no brainer. It can be used with a guitar but that does require a bit of messing around with cables, cos its a different fitting than a standard amp lead. its the smaller headphone lead. Its basically an effects box that you swipe to alter the parameters, although the effects are largely geared to dj and producing. It does have some loop settings but they are very limited and if looping was your thing I wouldn't get this. when they came out they were nearer £150. This is reduced because a new model came out with sampling capabilities.

I have one and unless you are into that sort of thing you will struggle to use. good to add to an instrument for extra effect. the kaossalitor is better.
