Real tree stand. Way easier than the screw in types.

No messing or faff to put up the tree - it really does take seconds.

This is the same price as that on amazon, however if you have a Homebase local, and need in a rush this is a good deal.

These are now £12.50 in Boucher Rd, Belfast Homebase. Not sure if store specific but got one this morning. A table of them at garden centre entrance. None in Newtonabbey Homebase as I had reserved there but got call to say none available. Might be worth checking your local Homebase if on lookout for one.

It's our first year with an Xmas tree, we just used bucket filled with water and weights. What's an added benefit for this?

These are just so much easier than other metal stands with screws. Tree doesn't move an inch and takes about 30 seconds to attach to this stand.

Yep. Had one years and would recommend wholeheartedly.
From the photo looks like a pressure washer patio cleaner
These are great. Had ours for years, watering the tree can be a pain but other than that these are fab.
This is the best. Was on Dragons Den. Got the same in one in Lidl £14.99

I got the Lidl one about 10 years ago and would highly recommend. Still going strong. Holds tree straight and upright in seconds. With quick release (safety button to stop accidental release) and a water reservoir with water level indicator.
Cheaper in Costco if you have a card.
Taking mine back to B&Q tomorrow. The tree fell down three times, what a waste of money
I bought one of these yesterday. It doesn't look incredible, but is so practical - tree went up in 10 seconds and is sitting nice and sturdily.

I attached a bit of tube to a funnel, then cable tied it down the back of the tree into the holder. Hey-presto, just pour water into the funnel at an easy to get to height.
Great idea thanks. will have to try that
A tree is for life not just Xmas, two growing in the front garden, sticking to artificial ones as I'm running out of space
Costco selling this @ £24 (purchased yday). Seems to be very sturdy and good!
Had this for our trees for four years. Tree up in 30 seconds. Saves so much hassle
This was the best investment I made last year, it took me exactly 6 seconds to have the tree it stand, straight and ready for decorating!
We have 2 of these (second one from Costco a few years ago) and they are excellent though it quite often requires trimming of the tree base to get it in there - as I did yesterday on one of them. Once in the house the tree soaks up the water pretty rapidly until satiated, so we usually leave it in bondage for a few days to allow easy access for topping up.
Yep these are fantastic, we've had ours over 10yrs purchased from Homebase.

I wouldn't have a real tree.
I agree with the concensus above these are great. When I was in Costco the other day they are still selling them (if you have one near by) - could be wrong but I'm semi-sure they are in the region of £24 there (but maybe this was pre-VAT).

I would've disagreed with you a few years ago, but a reasonable artificial is pretty good and real trees of any quality are not cheap any more.

Probably no tree at all, no turkey and a microwave meal for one in a cold dingy basement.
The best thing about these is watching people who don't have them mess about with their tree!
Did it on my own in a couple of seconds, no messing about. Just make sure you get one that's big enough for your tree as they do different sizes dependant on height.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant thing for putting up the tree - we've had ours for about 15 years and it's still as good as new - takes about 2 mins to set it up - then about 20 mins while my other half says "that's not straight, can you move it 2mm to the left, actually I think it was better like it was, mmm maybe not er blah blah blah..."

These are all in the South and around London but I think other cities may well have their own community gatherings.

Love ours
I picked one of these up at the weekend - as Amazon could not deliver quick enough. It replaces two metal wonky fiddly holders which either leaked water or struggled to hold anything taller than 5ft. Took five seconds and bingo! Love the fact it shows if it needs water adding. My tree is 7ft and fits perfectly. As usual - it pays to spend proper once.
Nice
These are now £20 in Homebase, if anyone's still looking for one. At least St albans branch where they still had loads. Check online for store availability, online price still £25, not updated yet.
