I saw KK on the uber app the other day and couldn't believe an original dozen is now £15, up from £10. I thought this may of been to cover delivery but there is an extra charge for that too

I love them, but this is ridiculous ££ for normal glazed doughnuts. A double dozen used to be around this much and that's with 12 filled

So let me get this straight.
You pay 15 quid for for 12 fairly plain donuts.
Your neighbour gets 12 for nothing and Krispy Kreme get the credit for supplying the free ones.
Seems like a deal for pretty much everyone apart from the person who pays!
£15 for 12 doughnuts, crazy price
Critical workers (POLICE/FIRE/nhs) can get a FREE 3 pack of original glazed and a hot drink from the drive thru. If there's one local to you.

They are a business though and you pay for convenience. Uber takes about a 25% fee of the order value

That’s why I hate Uber eats , they allow shops to increase there prices more than just eat or foodhub or there own menu price and then charge extra for delivery on top

About the same as 5 from Sainsbury's.

If the restaurant is not willing to take a hit to gain more business then they shouldn’t be on Uber eats , there a plenty of shops who stick with the menu prices and they get my business and the ones who increase them I avoid and buy direct or via just eat or foodhub

All my neighbours are on a diet. Shame.

And they taste the same do they??
£15 for 12 glazed doughnuts! Pure rip off! You can get 12 of your choice a few quid cheaper by avoiding these RIP off delivery services and going to a store or any major supermarket, who have KK kiosks!
AdDaMan12/05/2020 16:34

They taste nice, good balance of dough and sugar. I Find KK way too sweet. Seriously, try them, much better than Tesco Asda etc.

Think it's changed to 50% off now

We did it! We served half a million ‘smiles’ in the form of half a million Original Glazed doughnuts, with your help nominating the amazing heroes working so hard in the battle against COVID-19.

Our frontline heroes & keyworkers are all truly amazing and we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

We will continue to serve more smiles each week to support amazing causes during the crisis and are now offering all NHS workers, policeman and firefighters 50% discount off our entire menu”
I had paid £9.50 for Glazed in Tescos last week - not sure why its 14.95 online.
Uber Eats have brought out a service charge on top of delivery now. So not only are you paying what is a 50% price increase on every product for the "convenience" of delivery, you're now paying a delivery fee and a service charge as well. Incredible price gouging

The irony of gifting a box of donuts to the person who has repeatedly advised me to cut down my dessert habit
Screw that. I'd be waiting outside my neighbours house to get my free ones.

Heat added though
I've just sent this deal to my neighbour, lets see if i get any free doughnuts tonight
can you do scheduled deliveries on uber eats?
Sorry just want to share my story

Last year i stopped at a store and got a dozen. I told the woman i saw a buy one box get one free deal but dont have it with me.

She asked why i wanted so many doughnuts and i replied my wife is pregnant and goes crazy for this

Not only did she give me the extra free box, she let me pick what i wanted for it (should have been all plain ones) + she asked her manager to give 20% off the whole total too

I got home that evening, gave my wife the doughnut and 6hours later her water broke and we went to the hospital

Till this day whenever we see KK we always think thats what got our baby kicking the water bag to get out lol
I remember the days when they did Christmas cards in a pack of 5, each card had a voucher for a free dozen glazed.

£5 for the pack of cards! Yes I bought a few

Yes
JoshCW13/05/2020 04:25

They are not important, all they doing is feeding the nation, taking a risk with hardly any protection.

Supermarket workers are ignored like care workers. Respect NHS, Fire and police but I personally see the shop, supermarket workers as important.
And the teachers who look after their kids also get forgotten! Supermarket workers get % bonus or extra pay, NHS and emergency services get many discount but teachers..???
