Thought this was a bit of a bargain, in my local store (barrow in furness) they have had Krug for 79.99 for AGES. I picked up a bottle about 7 months ago on offer, but they havn't upped the price back up since then. Since the next best price I've found is online of 99.49 it seems a steal! Don't know if it's just a mess up at my local store but I guess I'll find out from how this gets voted!

It's for one bottle! So the kind of thing for a special occasion, unless your really rich. I'm saving mine for my 21st =)

The cheapest I can find it anywhere else is over £121, so this has to be hot.

Actually to be fair to the OP it is cheaper than most places (only know this cause I googled and not bought it lol)

I just added 49 bottles of that to my cart, check out the total!

49 Items Item Total: $4,899,950.51
Estimated GROUND Ship Cost:
Other Ship Methods $105.00
Sub-Total $4,900,055.51

One has to wonder if one would derive greater enjoyment from two to three bottles of moderately priced champagne over this, unless one wants to boasts of ones expensive wine while in cultured company of course.

I do hope one is having a larf ^

It was on the news this morning that champers will be greatly reduced in prices by xmas due to large supply and hardly any demand. So may be worth waiting until then!

I'm clearly a scummer as I'd probably put red bull in it!

buy 7 bottles of smirnoff from asda with enough change for a taxi home will keep you happy for a week lol rather than just a couple of glasses haha god bless cheap booze and binge drinking

LMFAO.. bet it tastes good though !!!!

on the serious side, this is a good price, but from your comments that it may well have been on the shelf for several months, this is not ideal storage conditions for such a champagne - too much warmth and light so will not be at its best. (unless of course it is boxed, then at least you dont have the light problem which reduces the risk.)

you sometimes see Dom Perignon similarly priced as it has not been updated for years.

quality rather than quantity..

would that be the same as this bottle at John Lewis/Waitrose - Krug Grande Cuvée NV Champagne, 37.5 cl or is it a bigger bottle as the price at JL is £62.70 ;-)

waitrosewine.com/230…798

It's £70 at my local tesco metro in London but I won't disclose where it is as I'm hoovering up the stock as it comes in...

The JL price is for a half bottle 37.5cl...
