While the £99 Magimix Combo has sold out at John Lewis this seems to be the next best deal for a Nespresso machine with an Aeroccino milk frother so that you can claim for the £70 gift voucher to spend at the Nespresso online store.

As you'd need to buy the Coffee anyway you're effectively getting the machine and frother for just over £30 and the frother itself was £42 last time I looked.

The machine must be purchased by the 31st Jan 2014. The form and details about the offer are linked at then bottom of the Amazon page.

Now £99.

Was that through Amazon themselves or through a 3rd party merchant?

Update: Feedback comments tend to suggest this does sell for less on Amazon (£50 on one Black Friday sale)

Yes I managed to get one directly through amazon for £49.99, it was the first of the Black Friday deals. This however I think is still a good price and I would highly recommend this package.

It was 50 quid with the aeroccino and 70 quid of nespresso credit?! That was a super bargain.

I think 102 quid for the machine, aeroccino and 70 quid nespresso gift card is very good vale

I too was lucky enough to grab one for £49.99 on Amazon's Black Friday deals. I also got the £70 giftcard. Great machine. Kids love the Aeroccino for making hot chocolate.

Purchased for the airoccino

I got it when it was £50 - with the £70 voucher, it is still a good deal...

£99 on John Lewis. Still a decent deal though, so obviously hot. Anybody who votes otherwise is rather silly.

Can the capsules be recycled? It's the one thing that was putting me off these kind of machines.

They give you a bag and they can either be collected or you can drop them off at a store (although there aren't many of them...)

i dont bother recycling as it means someone coming and picking up and then driving all the way to their recycling centre (its done by courier!) so likely zero environmental saving.

Great coffee though, recommend at this price

Best coffee. And thus us a deal because it's the cheapest now no matter what amazon or anyone else has done in the past

Anyone actually had it delivered? Still waiting for a delivery date from amazon..

Couple of questions about this if anyone can help please? Can you fit a standard mug under the dispenser with this? Also, I like the mocha and different flavour coffees. Is the way best way to achieve this with the syrups? Thanks

I don't have this but have looked at a few videos on Youtube and you can only fit an espresso cup/glass under the dispenser.

You will need a Pixie or a U machine if you want to fit a mug under the dispenser.....

If you are then going to add loads of milk and syrup to the espresso maybe it might be better to investigate Tassimos and similar machines ??

Not a great deal, but not a terrible one either -

It's a good deal while this promotion is on though, however at Christmas I picked this up for £50 and that also included the £70 card.

re the claim for the £70 nespresso voucher offer says ends 31/01/2014 if amazon order not despatched by 31/1/ 2014 would you still qualify ??

Technically no, invoice is produced and dated on day of dispatch, not day of order with Amazon.

I have this 79 a few months back...but it was only 40 gift card then...so this is good deal.
As above - biggest downside for me is the narrow opening - so you need small cups...fine if all you have is espresso but a pain otherwise

Maybe over simplification of the "problem" but simply dispense into the small cup and pour it into a bigger one?

Ideal way to get the heat out of a cup of coffee.

I just hold a larger cup at an angle, works fine.

I've got a CItiz at home and use aeroccino with that, in that you can use espresso cup or standard mug. Got one of these for work with a similar offer.

I like milky coffee too (heathen that I am) and this does take a minute or so to warm up. I don't like tassimo UHT type milk and don't want to clean out aeroccino at work so my ritual is :
Put big mug half full of milk in microwave and set for 80 seconds. Put standard low height coffee cup under nespresso and make coffee normally. Coffee takes about a minute. Microwave goes ping. Pour coffee and crema into big mug with hot milk, use teaspoon to get extra crema bit. Give small coffee cup and teaspoon run under tap to clean and return to machine. Et voila. Nice cup of milky coffee. I really hope that helps someone

I have this machine and it's fantastic. You also get a free Perspex pod holder if you order the coffee pods with your gift card.

When I ordered mine from amazon it arrived early the following day. I couldn't believe it.
Hope yours does too if you order one.

Fair enough and I do this too (also at an angle as suggested above)...but as above...lose the heat --- so I often heat the cup that I am pouring into ...and worse than that you lose the crema (spelling?) from the top of the espresso.

OK it isnt a big deal but I have seen some of the other machines similar price and although happy with this one - in future I would go for one that has a bit more clearance.

I have an expresso shot glass. I dispense my shot into the warmed glass, I already have prepared the syrup in the cup I pour in my milk from the Aeroccino into the syrup then add expresso....beautiful

Or get the nespresso cups, they fit underneath and are the perfect size in lingo to get the proper coffee taste

Only Espresso or long espresso (here is their coffee range nespresso.com/uk/…nge, you need aerocino to froth the milk for cappucino or to whisk milk for latte.

They actually do do a caramel and vanilla pod but I don't personally like them. Syrups are much much nicer

I picked up the Nepresso Glass collection with the two cups and two tall glasses that I use when making hot chocolate with the aeroccino.

All in all it worked out that I paid a total of £83 for the Nespresso Machine, the Aeroccino, 210 coffee pods, the Nespresso totem and the 4 glasses. A total bargain if you ask me!

That's exactly what we do at home and we have an aeroccino as well, can't remember the last time I used it lol

I know what you mean about the crema, but didn't realise it dispersed if you decant it to another cup. I have the Nespresso Pixie myself and the drip tray flips up so you can get a proper mug underneath - or even without that it will take a fairly decent sized cup if you lift it up behind the outlet area.
Can't speak highly enough of machines/coffee itself though, good compromise for a home made cup of joe versus a full blown system - not really practical for all but the biggest kitchens
Edited by: "bobbler" 21st Jan 2014

Just wanted to add if you do use the Aeroccino it does have a tendency to build up a burnt area where there is a hot spot.

Speaking to Nespresso - excellent support BTW - they recommend after you have used it, wash out with cold water then refill to the minimum with clean cold water and add a drop of washing up liquid, but it back on and let it clean itself and voila!

what a minefield it is buying a coffee machine, do I go for this or the Phillips Senseo from Tesco? That is only £21.
