Pretty well reviewed beer. Good price at 50p a bottle considering it's an imported premium Czech beer...

Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krusovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Krivoklat Wood and hops from the Zatec area.

Heat added. Saw this a few days back but resisted. Bought it previously when it was 500ml bottle for 50p each but was slightly disappointed as the taste for me isn't quite strong enough. I'd buy it again for this price but still have some of the big bottles left.

Have had a couple of packs in my stock but haven'y got around to trying it yet. I must say that the Lion Stout that they currently have is bang on. If they've got any left clear the shelves!

I picked some more Lion stouts up yesterday (I posted a deal for them a few weeks ago but it didn't get much heat). Went there again yesterday and it looked like they'd all gone, but somebody had pushed them right to the back of the shelf... I nabbed them Best stout I've drank... and I've had a bottle of Goose Island Bourbon County

sell by date is up in a couple of weeks on these at the Jarrow branch

Best before, not sell by. It's the 28th on my bottles btw

Thought this stuff was a bit lacking in flavour. Not offensive and certainly not a major complaint for the price.

Lion stout is nice, will grab some more if there are any in my local.

I saw your post - you beat me to it . Have you tried the Goose Island 312 "urban" wheat beer? It's been on offer at few supermarkets recently. On the subject of american wheat bear, notice Morrisons are doing 8 Blue Moons for £9.00 (Modelo and Peroni as well) which is a much better price than Sainsbury's ridiculous £1.99 a bottle. Not earth shattering in my opinion but a good buy at this price.

Try Kozel if you like dark beer. I like Zlatý Bažant and Pilsner Urquell, great beers. My ex is Slovakian (gone back to Slovakia now) and she introduced me to these beers, well her sister did. Awesome stuff.

Thanks, OP. Might try this if my local B&M has any.

Scores 45 at ratebeer, which puts it nearly on a par with Spitfire (46).

Don't think I have to be honest? The Goose Island IPA is also very nice though. Another one I'd highly recommend that's in Tesco is St Austell Proper Job... tastes very much like an American Pale Ale

I always eye up the Blue Moon but never get it to be honest... might be because I'm a United supporter

I do like my wheat beers though... Franziskaner and Weihenstephan are probably the best I've had from the main supermarkets. Nothing beats them ice cold on a hot day!

Just been to the Rotherham Parkgate store and bought three boxes, can't knock it at that price... HOT

Picked up a couple of packs of the Krusovice & 6 bottles of the lion stout at blaydon

Seen this yesterday and was going to pick it up....3.9% I believe which put me off slightly. Nevertheless a good deal and voted hot!

Krosovicce and a buddys bourbon beer from blaydon for me, buddys was vile.
this however is pretty damn nice

Krusovice Imperial is what you want its 5% and way better than this.
