Doesn't matter how much you spend on security locks unless you grease all moving parts including key barrel regularly, the tealeaves/vandal's will superglue them

Looks like you're right, not sure if it was when I bought it, but anything around this price is excellent value, very sturdy lock. Of course nothing will stop someone tooled up with angle grinder etc
It's a secure by design lock so will with stand a lot.
It's been this price for ages and is cheaper elsewhere
I have this lock. Whilst the lock is great, the mount is terrible and slips around so the lock gets in the way when peddling. The lock doesn't clip into the mount snugly either unless you force it but then it takes forever to get it out.
"...for moderate to high level crime areas..." Explain that one! Someone either tries to nick your bike or they don't. They don't try less hard in low crime areas or much harder in high crime areas. Pure marketing guff!

People pay enormous amounts of money to save a few grams on the weight of their bike then sling one of these boat anchors on it - I don't have a solution but it doesn't make much sense.

Ah yes...... but you’re forgetting - if it’s added to the bike it doesn’t count!
This lock currently £1 cheaper at Halfords.
