If your looking to lock up your bike at the Station all day, go for something a lot more expensive. http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/the-best-bike-locks-and-chains-44996/ is a recent review on lots of locks.

It is what it is a £20 lock, better than nothing, but if someone wants your bike and they have a jack, bolt cutters or angle grinder then yes it's a pointless lock..

always park in well lit areas with foot traffic, next to a posher bike if possibl

You can see how it stacks up against more expensive locks here. For £19, I think it does very well.

Remember to thoroughly grease all parts of locks including key barrel and connecting dlock parts to stop anyone super gluing them, also lock seat to frame of bike! Here's what can happen even with the most best grade locks!!! Watch to very end!

Not my cup of tea, personally

Good one. Every cyclist should have one of these as a standard for minimum security. For what it is, it is hot. Please learn how to use it properly to avoid disappointments.

It's not bad, I got one off a hukd about 4 years ago £15, I only use it indoors in my garage and it's still going strong, definately prefer the on-guard locks, come with 5 keys and the design is bette

That's the point, nothing can stop a professional thief, but this lock in a main street and well use it should be enough to protect your bike from thiefs.

Thats not true. Chopping both their hands off would definitely hamper their efforts.

Just bought for the daughters Christmas bike. Thanks OP

If you really want a decent lock, invest in an Almax V

The forum posted videos are definitely worth a watch before ordering

I have one of these and it's excellent. Some thieving little idiots broke into our shed to steal our bikes a couple of years ago. The bikes were chained to a Sterling ground anchor using this u-lock and a hardened steel chain and they couldn't get through it despite having a 4 ft pair of bolt cutters.

Worth every penny

Thieves also super glue lock's hoping you can't unlock your bike then they come back in the dead of night with cordless angle grinder

£23.98 on amazon not bad but i reported lower price in some hope maybe amazon will price match, won't hold my breath tho as it normally requires a few people to say they seen the lower price before they consider matching

Didn't work for me- I had a bike stolen from outside my work even though I'd removed the seat. In fact, when I went to a bar afterwards carrying the seat- the only part I had left- someone asked me if I'd pinched it!

Thanks ordered, saw the video and realised how poor my cable lock is.

any one who uses their brain would use two types of locks this had been said for years even when i was a little mort.

the other thing is use them correctly i see so many idiots that do not put lock through frames and then wonder why the bike has gone.

i wouldn't pay attention to these videos at the end of the day if these pros want your bike they will get it
