Really depends on what your cooking to be honest, some dishes you can use half or quarter or maybe all - it's really your preference

I mean how long does the remainder that you don't cook lasts for, I'm lucky if I would go through a single pack in 2 weeks

Lol sorry
I'm not sure to be honest but the remainder keep it in the fridge it lasts a bit longer that way

Are these grainy or smooth? Can’t remember which one was grainy.
Do you add water to these to get a sauce, only used the milk in the past

I find these packs can last a few months, just keep the block in a plastic bag and out of sunlight!

Fairly grainy. They are fine to use as a coconut flavour, but don't expect to add water and get silly smooth coconut milk.

Pretty much forever. Mine stays in a dark cupboard and I've had one opened for months before. It gets a little harder to cut as it dries out, but definitely did go bad or anything.
They are 80p each in Sainsburys. This is expensive.

But this deal is 50p each :/
Currently 50p each in asda
There's 1 brand I got from Asda with same total weight and same size product but inside you get 3 or 4 individually wrapped pieces, which I thought was very good.

Anyone know any good veg recipes to use this? I have a pack but the grainy nature didn't turn out too well in this recipe I tried:

mildreds.co.uk/2017/02/13/recipe-sri-lankan-sweet-potato-and-cashew-nut-curry-mildreds-kings-cross-one-year-birthday/

In their restaurant this dish is divine but was horrible when I tried it.

Thanks op. Currently temp oos and not on s&s - would've got 15% discount for this months order but ordered and fingers crossed it'll turn up.

I use a LOT of coconut cream and milk... Great in curries.
Oos
Does this serve same purpose as coconut milk and is it much better value for money than coconut milk?
