I'm still undecided as to whether my next car will be electric or diesel... Nice to see some cheap diesel in the shops though

Is that plus vat.

No VAT on veg oil.

As Catables said, there's no VAT to pay on vegetable oil - but be aware that if you are going to use this as diesel fuel, you will need to pay fuel duty and VAT to HMRC. Though, it will still work out cheaper than getting it at the pump.

Actually no you don't need to pay duty and vat on it,Your allowed 2500lt a year for personal use after that then you would have to pay duty vat.
But just a warning a lot of clueless idiots think any diesel will run on veg oil they won't,Most cars after 2000 won't and it will do a lot of damage to your engine.

Shame I don't have the 4runner anymore. She used to love this stuff.

I remember reading either on here or possibly a story in the mail that a man attempted to buy a trolley full of cooking oil in Asda and when the checkout girl found out it was for his diesel car she got the manager involved and he refused to sell it to him.

Asda and Tescos are doing it at 2 x 5 litres of veggie or sunflower for £8 at the moment.

50p a litre saving and my Disco 200tdi runs smoother and quieter on a 50/50 mix.
