KTM RC 125 (2015) - £2999, reduced from £4499 @ Redline Mororcycles

Hi All,

Hoping this will benefit someone. My local KTM dealer has the RC125 reduced from £4499 to £2999, brand new with 2 year warranty, breakdown and 12 months tax.
I know its a bit of a specialised subject but anyone looking for a new 125 could well be interested. For a 125 it looks pretty trick.
Its at Redline motorcycles, Loughborough.
Direct link to the bike;

*thanks to Doofry for pointing out other dealers, Quite possibly a national deal.

nice, cheaper than some of the japan/italy 125 mega scooters.
Funny when you click the link it says the standard bike RRP is £2999 "Standard bike in the picture RRP £2999 or take advantage of our Redline Special Edition with Neon Sticker Kit and R & G tail tidy for an Extra £300 , RRP £3299 Stand out from the rest."

I think its a typo, it shows at the bottom of the page its RRP £4499. Hopefully they are better at the details when it comes to servicing ;p

I've seen this deal at another KTM dealer. Good price. Think it's just to shift the remaining 2015 model year stock.

Sorry to offend you but they are horrendously dangerous. I used a scooter to nip around the city when i lived abroad and had some scares. Car drivers seem to just not recognise you are there but luckily i travelled at 50Mph or less so managed to avoid any serious injury.

I do get the fact they can be dangerous , and even if you ride responsibly it only takes a momentary lapse for someone to make things tricky. On the flipside though I had some great times in my teens, priceless memories of being out on my bike with friends. Thankfully we all made it to enjoy our bikes to this day, there's always a risk with things like this but you cant bottle the enjoyment and freedom on a hot sunny day a bike can give you. Ride safe and enjoy life.

Dear me
Great price, especially with the ABS.
Is the build quality any good? Heard the 125 dukes had bad batches and was wondering if this (as its just a faired duke) is the same.

Do people go onto deals for whisky/rum/vodka and make trolling comments regarding liver disease and alcoholism or chocolate deals, crying about obesity and diabetes?

I rode safely but it didn't stop people running into me,pulling out in front of me and braking and swerving into me. But yes I did have some great times and loved the fresh air on a hot day.

Dear me

I feel the reason car drives don't recognise bikes is they kinda see them initially as a bicycle but then it travels 10 times faster, and I feel this is where judgement lacks sometimes, especially on the old.

Loads of people do yes. Have a look at some KFC deals for example.
Great price, particularly when compared to this:

No doubt, this is stock that Harry Enfield will be stocking in his Notting Hill shop. Motobikes always feel like much better value for money,,,

Yes. Your point is? You believe motorcycles aren't dangerous? As a long time biker I promise you they are.

On their own they aren't particularly dangerous in the right hands, the danger comes from the amount of idots on the road that can't drive and go around in a daze knocking over cyclists, pedestrians, bikers and anything else that they can't see.

Ignoring the morons, a bike is as dangerous as you make it.
Great deal - will hold it's value really well.

Alternative ways to get in to biking for anyone reading this is to buy a 250/500/400/600cc bike with restrictor fitted (limits the HP output to 33 BHP) so it's learner legal. Then when you pass....take off the restriction.

No, I think the problem is that a lot of drivers on the road don't see them at all. I drive a largish car with dipped headlamps on all the time and even then some drivers still don't see me - they pull out from side roads in front of me, pull out to overtake into my side of the carriageway, swerve into my lane without seeing me etc etc.

A long time ago I rode small motorcycles as a teenager and had a number of near misses because of other drivers. Now the roads are busier, driving standards have dropped and the number of people who clearly can't see properly appears to have increased. So whilst I have a deep down urge to ride a bike again, because I have a young family, there's no way I ever would. So why the hell am I reading a deal post for a motorcycle?

I fail to see how chocolate deals and diabetes are at all linked?
I've given heat, but it is one ugly looking bike, have seen one or two on the road and they look way too front end heavy, but then again with a 125 I suppose it would.

least it's not a moped

As a long time biker, I know how dangerous they are. At what point does that need to be pointed out each and every time there is a deal connected to motorcycles?

Not really if you look at the relative death and injury figures. Motor bike users are 38 times more likely to die than car users.

No, a learner can only use a 125cc or lower unsupervised. Restricted larger bikes are just to comply with the different license restrictions (with age limits preventing you from having a very large bike straight when you turn 17!)

I think you need to look at the figures for no other vehicle involved accidents,in which born again bikers figure very heavily.Simple physics alone tells you this is a dangerous means of transport but people have free choice on how to kill themselves. Just a shame about their families, friends, other people involved in the accident and the emergency services. But hey! they are exercising their free choice.

And what does that or the original comment have to do with how good the deal is?

Yo! oO
Everything great except steel frame
4 stroke engine on a 125? At least it won't sound like a demented bee continuously slamming into a conservatory window
Can't believe I just read and laughed at some very funny comments, I was genuinely looking at the deal and got drawn in by all the comedians out there lol
The 'innit bruvs' and chavs will be creaming themselves over this deal. Good spot none the less.
