I was pricing up radiators for my house and came across this double radiator for £33.13 at B&Q. I have ordered one and had it delivered today so I can confirm you do get the 500 x 1600 so ignore the B&Q picture. They have the slightly larger one measuring 600 x 1600 priced up at £119.83 so a huge difference in price.

Screw fix have the same Kudox 500 x 1600 radiator with 20% off at £92.99.

You definately don't get that small radiator. It is much longer. I did try posting that image but it wouldn't work for me so thanks skykid3 for posting.

Cracking price. These are the bog standard radiators I fit on jobs, decent value even for their normal price.

I can't say I've ever bought rads from B&Q before, mainly because when you go down the aisle it's impossible to find one that isn't completely damaged. I've ordered a few, hopefully they'll all be good.

Brilliant OP thanks. Just what we needed for the hall and lounge. A massive saving!!
thanks again

Has anyone heard anything regarding delivery?

I placed my order last night so anticipate delivery tomorrow.

However, I haven't had any contact from B&Q to schedule a time.

Is this normal?

Pure garbage! I got 1 (3 in the end because all were damaged) cost me a fortune compared to the screwfix one I bought before after all the messing.

I got a confirmation email of my order only and they delivered 2 days later as I was too late for next day delivery. Mine arrived in perfect condition by the way.

You are voting on the deal not the standard of Royal Mail delivery and I can't see how it cost you a fortune when B&Q will replace damaged items. So if you'd rather pay £92.99 from Screwfix then fill your boots.

b&q have the same products as screwfix..........

they are owned by the same company

Can you place a radiator behind a sofa safely? 1.6m is a lotta wall.

What about alongside a bed?

oh, and link not working, neither is diy.com, ime.

Both bnq and screwfix are part of Kingfisher group. I would rate them above Focus but below Wickes...

the way radiators work is they rely on air surrounding them & circulation of that air. They will work by a bed or sofa but because the flow of air around them is not great their performance goes way down

Ordered to replace my single rad in the lounge.
Was looking for a cheap s/h item but @ this price its too good to say no.
Great Deal Op. Huge Thanks

yeah I get all that but with health and safety gone mad these days it's only a matter of time before someone rules that radiators behind insulated wooden furniture =fire hazard. come to think of it that pretty much describes modern partition walls. but maybe the risk is only from electrical heaters because they have been known to spontaneously combust.

so where do I find them? desktop only? can I try in store? anyone got a link?

Great value and these are decent rads.

Shame I have no need for it!!

These radiators are Turkish and have a bit of a reputation for leaking,
Placing radiators close to soft furnishing is not a fire hazard the surface temperature can typically reach 82c and could cause a burn particularly with old people and young children.

tried another browser and could not find by searching diy.com. oh well didn't really want to go fishing for stud's in my old lath and plaster wall.

Ordered 2 last nite so got free delivery, too late for today but should be delivered tmrw :-)

The link's working for me but search using code 5060069429476 if you're still having trouble

Great price and just what I needed. I've ordered 2. Thanks for posting.

Awesome I recently purchased a load of radiators for my house, one particular one was this size and that cost about £80.

Also just to confirm that this is the Type 22 which is a Double Panel Double Convector.

Buy two and you save the £5.00 delivery charge as you go over the £50.00 threshold

ordered thx

That is really cheap, are any of their other radiator size cheap ?

Now out of stock

Mine came yesterday in perfect condition. Great deal ,saved us lots of cash. Thanks OP.

Just had a phone call from B&Q saying unfortunately we've ran out of stock and in these circumstances we can only refund the cost back to your payment card (inc. delivery cost) which will take 3-5 days, Whilst talking to the rep he said their trading partner was SCREWFIX of which they're selling it for £92.99 so either they've realised their mistake at the cost or they've actually had no stock left, I'll let you decide..but managed to get a £10 B&Q voucher for the inconvenience of waiting in all day for delivery..... Great for those who received their's thx for the post op

Sounds like they've realised their pricing error. I will expire it now. Well done if you got one.
