Possibly because these are still illegal to rid on a public road/footpath in the UK, and if stopped by customs, the bill could be quite huge - potentially* 100% EU tariff, +handling charges, +VAT.

Rozzers currently ignore them - unless you do something stupid, or have an accident, but not worth the risk IMHO.

Changes to the UK vehicle rules are possibly coming this year, so hopefully electric bike/scooter rules may be updated to something sensible, current rules were set over 100 years ago.

One plus for a Hard Brexit; no more EU 100% penalty tariff to protect a small French electric bike company, so we might get these at something like the price the Chinese pay (full spec "Vespa" style electric scooter for £200-£300).

*Not heard of an individual buyer getting hit with this, but HMRC are cracking down hard right now.
I've ordered M365 from AliExpress for £307 shipping from spain. i think Xiomi is more reliable and you can do firmware updates etc through mobile app.
How come the customs stop it? Its shipped from Poland, their eu warehouse!

I've been over this before; they use a well known freight forwarding scam to get around paying duty; eventually HMRC picks it up and people start getting hit with duty fees, at which point they switch to a different warehouse in a different country - typically these are in the poorer EU states where the bribes are cheaper.
You pay via PayPal, so even if you are hit by customs. You can raise dispute and claim your money back

Find parts, repair guides or firmware updates for this “clone”. Now find for M365. Weigh in minimal difference in price.

Have they been hovering around $400 on AliExpress for a while? Much prefer this to a two month wait with GearBest!

Some items on that spec sheet definitely seem weird. 3 speed modes on one key but also one key to control speed and one to brake... so is it more like cruise control than a throttle? You set the speed and the scooter maintains it without you being able to alter it?

Shorter charging time can indicate a smaller battery. More power is good for higher top speeds but it has less torque so won't be setting off as quickly from the lights. Non-pneumatic tyres are a matter of personal preference but I'd rather have a bit of air to act as suspension when riding around.
So..no ones seen a build yet? Parts are scarce I think.
