Jus had that to eat :P

I last had these around 3/4 years ago and weren't so keen as they lacked a decent amount of garlic butter. Have they improved since? As this is a good price, but I quite like asda smartprice ones at 30-odd pence each.

LA Dinner?

lidl garlic bread is around 70p for 2 & it's nice

Not great in the taste department as they are made with margarine not any real butter. I look out for ones containing butter as an ingredient like the 59p frozen twin pack in Aldi.

This is probably the only thing I can think of that is just as easy to make as it is to buy, that being said it's a good price.

Really? Make dough, bake roll, cool, slice. Chop garlic (wash hands a dozen times) mix butter with garlic, spread mixture on roll, bake again. Is that really easier? Even if you omit my first three steps and buy the rolls it's not easier or probably cheaper than buying.

Yes really. We buy huge baguettes at the end of the night from the local supermarkets for 10p, always have minced garlic in the freezer and butter or spread in the fridge and dried chopped parsley in the cupboard. Assuming you have a well stocked kitchen & plan it you could have this knocked up and ready to put in the oven before you could put your shoes on to go Farmfoods. Not that I'll ever convince my sister of this so she'll still buy it.

Although what you're saying makes sense at the same time, waiting around til evening hoping that co-op have left over stale bread seems mad.

Yeah that does sound mad but I have 2 Asda's near me and a Morrisons and around 9pm, so a small detour on the way home. Their bakeries puts their products near the tills and the one product that's almost always there is fresh not stale baguettes for around 10p, we used to always have a couple in freezer.
Anyway I'm not knocking the deal it's good value, it's just one of those products that insanely easy to make, like the frozen cheese and ham toasted sandwich I saw the other day, to me it's just as easy to make it myself.
