Anybody know the quality compared to the likes of Napolina and Philipo Berio?
When Italian olive Harvest is bad ,they buy in Spanish oil ,and pass it off as their own. Spanish olive oil is exallent.maybe better .. than Italian.. or Greek...?

Both Napolina and Berio oils are blends of EU olive oils, and then marketed as Premium oil, so this is probably just as good if not better. Waitrose reviews all leave 5 stars, albeit only 4 reviews. I would certainly buy this oil at this price

my friend you have no idea what you're talking about! You could not be more wrong if you tried!
Italian olives are with certain Greek species among the best olives for oil in the world. The Spanish are, like most of their produce, mass-produced that is why UK supermarkets purchase Spanish products.
Extra-virgin olive oil refers to the way is produced using a specific technique.
Most Italian brands (bertolli, berio, etc) that you find in the UK supermarket are owned by Spanish companies and are based on EU or north-African olives.
The real italian extra-virgin olive oils are worth far more because of their quality, estraction technique and limited volume.
Put it on a slice of bread try it and taste heaven

This post made me chuckle!

Italian olive oil is high quality and from various regions. Alot of the best isn't produced in sufficient quantities (eg Tuscan) to make it to supermarkets but there is plenty of top quality olive oil from Liguria, Sicily etc.
Extra virgin olive oil for less than £4 per litre. Heat added!

Go shopping at Lidl or Aldi. Always below £4 per litre
One of the best things about this product is the ingenious cap, no spillage!
Good price for a litre.
The Lidl 750ml bottle is on offer for £1.99 at the moment. I believe it’s usually about £2.39. I stocked up today when using my £10 off £40 shop voucher!
