Are there any exclusive extras to either format?

Wanting it, but will wait for the inevitable price fall in a short while. I have enough games stacked up unplayed thanks to HUKD anyway.

It's not been confirmed, but apparently the PS3 version will come with an extra case (as in police case). It was on a picture of the cover or something, but quickly pulled. I'll try and find the link.

Not for a Rockstar game, they're like Nintendo first party games and don't drop for ages on average.

Same price at sommerfield with code

Sorry same price at sainsburys

Banned

it will be £29.99 or less somewhere on release day

I stupidly just put that code in to see if i could get that ontop of the student discount ive been getting from them for about 3 years and its stopped giving me the discount...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol suppose its about time anyway.

Think Rockstar stopped this with Red Dead. It was pretty much £39.99 everywhere as they didn't want a price war, and advised sellers that this was the price.

Thanks for this, pre ordered and banking on not much cheaper than this .........

Even so, if you order it then it is cheaper elsewhere, just cancel it.

They don't take the money until it has been despatched anyway, at which point prices will be readily available.

It will, due to the fact it's single player only & not a GTA game.

preordered - thanks

Tesco Entertainment have a 20% off code for LA Noire or Deus Ex (10LADEUS) - brings retail price of £39.70 to £31.76. No pre-order bonus. dispatched to arrive day of release, and tesco points. Job done

Actually PS3 has confirmed exclusive content: uk.ps3.ign.com/art…tml

If you have both a 360 and PS3 get the PS3 version!

Speaks for itself really...
It will take a few months for this to drop in price, its a R* title its going to sell like hot cakes! (Not made by them but it has there name on it..)

Still got loads to do in their last game Red Dead Redemption

Good price, but HMV have been hopeless getting new releases to me on time in the past.

Had to wait until Saturday or even Monday so won't take the risk.

My 360 gets such little use these days, compared with my PS3, that I almost feel obliged to buy L.A. Noire for it. Hot deal!

It looks like there will be pre order bonus elements from different retailers.

la-noire.net/for…tml

Seems either play.com or game.co.uk have the better bonus as it is an extra case to do rather than a suit that increases your attributes. Think I'll may be pre-ordering from GAME as it has an extra case and also a badge pursuit challenge. Hopefully rest of the bonuses will become available as DLC.

It's definitely not as bad as Nintendo games. They do fall, just take 4 or 5 months instead of 4 or 5 weeks.

I wish publishers would stop this random retailer exclusive rubbish. Also announcing DLC before a game comes out is nonsense too. Just put it on the damn disc!

Would I be right in assuming this is not actually a rockstar game though, they are just the publishers on this one? If so I'd hold out on reviews before jumping in, although I'm sure it'll be good

I believe Rockstar is co-developing this with Team Bondi. It's pretty normal these days to have multiple studios working on a single title. Bulletstorm for instance was touched by 5 different studios.

I wouldn't use Tesco Entertainment, you'll get it late. No point in waiting it out, I made the same mistake with RDR.

HMV are no better

I thought that Red Dead Redemption would have a price war on day one. It didn't. Thought it would drop in price quickly. It didn't. So pre-order prices will probably be the best price to get the game at for some time.

Also Rockstar games have a tendency to preform better on the 360 than the PS3. So I'm likely to plump for the 360 version although then the reviews on release date will no doubt tell me that I made the wrong decision.

Remember Game has been exclusive content. HMV gets sod all.

Hopefully the pre-order DLC codes will be up on eBay quite cheap the same they were for Red Dead. They were region free also so got some from the US for a couple of quid.

I know they'll all be available also a short while after release via the various system's market places.

Released on my birthday

thanks, i went for it

I wonder if when publishers agree exclusive DLC with specific retailers they also stipulate the price range the product must sell for at launch (say no less than RRP minus 10%)? i suppose doing this may keep the wholesale prices higher for longer.

The Home page says 20% however when you go into the product page it says 10% (plus the code having "10" in it....)

So I think it's only 10%. Haven't tried it myself cos I don't want either of the titles day-of-release

End of the day, here or Sainsburys, if its a single player playthrough you can enjoy it and flog it straight after, this game really looks fantastic. pre-ordered.

Or just rent?

Thanks!,ordered.

Don't think it matters where you pre order it from. Just found tbis statement on a site:

“There won’t be any special edition release of L.A. Noire, just the preorder bonus content with certain retailers,” said Rockstar on a post on its blog.

it added: “Also as mentioned, all that content will be made available as DLC after the game comes out.”
