Almost at biting point...almost.
PlayStation shows as £23.85
Wasn't this a bit meh when it was first released 7 years ago? Seems a bit steep for a 7 year old game even if it has 4k

I agree. Asking too much for and old, mediocre game.

Whats the gameplay like? Similar to Mafia 3, Grand Theft, with free roaming - or not like that?
Not sure whether to get or hold fire?

Mediocre is just your opinion though remember.

It got good reviews in it's day and the remaster has been well received too. I really enjoyed it, the atmosphere in particular is something special. For that there's nothing else like it even now.

The gameplay is mostly good although the interrogation scenes were a bit hit and miss. This has been tweaked slightly though in the remasters and Switch versions.

Also worth pointing out that although this is on Steam, it's a bit flaky on Windows 10 so the XB1/PS4 version should be a better experience.

Imagine GTA pulled quite a bit further towards the adventure side of things. You investigate crime scenes, drive round the city and interview people. There is some gun action as well.

But don't expect the 1940s cars to handle like GTA, it's quite a bit more sedate

Thanks... gives me an idea. Might check eBay or wait until it drops a bit more before taking the plunge!
I think it helps if you've got an interest in modern history as well. If you've ever watched any old Hollywood golden era films, there's stuff for you. It also includes the DLC, and there's a mission in that where you visit Hughes Aerospace. In the back of the hanger is the Spruce Goose. I seriously geeked out at that.
