Seen this deal and thought you may be interested, they do claim that it was £19.99 however I beg to differ however the cheapest comparison I can find is £7.99 inc delivery so still a good deal despite that excessive starting point.

Value ranges always worry me, might help someone on a lower budget but Labtec are a trusted mid range brand and for 2 quid more "including" delivery this could save on the fuel too.

I've got this one, I bought it in a panic after my old MS one blew up when I was working from home about 6 months ago (it was the cheapest option available in the local Argos £9.99). It's alright, nothing special, a simple fairly lightweight optical mouse, no bells or whistles just does what it says on the tin.

Urm... This mouse has a cable right? I've bought wireless mice for this price which have been 100% reliable and comfortable to use.

Cold.

Compatible with PC Windows® 98SE, Me, 2000, or XP (from Labtec website)

So will it work with Vista ?

wow excessive packaging

There's absolutely no reason why it wouldn't be.

Use it as a USB mouse and it'll be a standard HID device.

Use the PS/2 Adaptor and it's just seen as a legacy device.

Just ordered one through QC, be handy as a spare.

Voted hot...

I'd rather have a non brand cordless for the same price, thanks.

That's no reason to vote this cold!!! you don't even need to comment if it's not for you.

Personally an optical mouse for under a fiver from the high street isn't that bad a deal.

Hot.

I am using that cheaper Mikomi mouse from Argos, do not buy it. Can't highlight text and have to click things several times for it to respond, might be a faulty unresponsive mouse though.

I've seen that argument a few times lately... that because the highstreet has rip off prices for computer stuff, anything remotely reasonable should be considered a bargain.

I don't buy into that myself.

If you want a bargain get a non branded one online. As has been mentioned, you can get a wireless mice for the same price online.

And from experience, non-branded items bought online are a pile of poo.

High street items are not 'rip-off' - you are paying for the convenience of being able to walk into a shop and pick one up. It doesn't matter if you can get a HDD for £10 online if you need it that day.

You're also paying for overheads that most online stores don't have (sales staff, shop floor, etc).

Finally, your comparison is pointless - if you think this is 'cold', please provide a link to the exact same item but cheaper than shown here. Actually, seeing as that's 2 people mention you can buy wireless mice for the same price online, can you please provide a link? You've also got to take delivery into account, so I hope you've done your sums!

Well I'm afraid that although this is Labtec, it's just another budget "Made in China" mouse which are ten-a-penny on and off the internet. People are right to buy a budget unbranded wireless optical mouse compared to this. The two Labtec mice I have used in the last few months were awful. The first was a corded ball mouse and the cord was about 2 feet long! The second was an optical mouse/keyboard set that ate batteries and that was only if you could get it to communicate in the first place.

If you want to buy Labtec, buy their speakers as even the budget ones are excellent. Voted freezing.

Well neither Labtec mouse you had previously was the same as this, so what are you comparing it with? Whether you like it or not, a branded optical mouse in the high street for under a fiver is a bargain. If you're going to vote things cold because you can get other products which do the same thing, you'll be voting everything cold.

Those who have this mouse, how many buttons does it have including the middle mouse button from the wheel?

You can get a "Trust MI-2540D" optical mouse for £3-49 from Asda. 5 button USB. Good design and feel. I've got 2. One for the PC and one for the Laptop. Would recommend.

I bought a Labtec wireless keyboard and mouse from Morrisons last month for £10. Keyboard is great but the AA batteries in the mouse lasted me about 3 days and they were brand new.The next set lasted me about 4 days...pretty expensive mouse that. Gone back to a wired one.

I was just looking for a cheap mouse and found this thred, ordered, thanks op

Labtec are just as bad as an unbranded product. Buy a Logitech or Microsoft mouse if you want something decent.

Have you ever ordered from them? I normally get my items within 7-8 days. I once received my DS TT card within 3 days. Unless of course you've been unlucky with them.

yeah i have, i was just being a bit sarcastic

it's just it took nearly two weeks and i need the mouse a bit quicker than that

In retrospect, buying a cheap mouse isn't worth it. You're better off spending the extra quid to get a logitech with a 2 or 5 year guarantee (not sure if all Logitech mice has this).
