Great deal for somebody looking for the Porche design, but I'm hanging out for the Austin Allegro designed one to go down in a price a little.

I’ve had my LaCie Porsche design for 4 years and no hiccups
Is it worth paying an additional premium for an external hard drive, just because it has a fancy 'shell' on it? (when you can get other external hard drives for less elsewhere, for the exact same 3TB capacities, etc?).

Genuine question by the way.

Where? The recent harddrive deals I've seem have mostly been 'Recerified"

Ebuyer are also selling Toshiba Canvio 3tb drives for £69.99. I've got the 2tb drive and can happily recommend it.

I had one at one point, those look cool as shit if you're into cars. Or appreciate porsche. Imagine pulling these out during a meeting, you'll look a complete baller.

Depends on the premium and what you’re going to do with it.

If it’s going to sit in view on your desk, or you’ll be taking it to work and using it in front of clients, paying more for a better looking drive may be worthwhile. If it’s going to sit out of sight, then probably not.

Equally if it’s a small premium, say £10, who cares for something you’ll hopefully be using for years. Wouldn’t pay lots more though for a HDD enclosure.
It may say porsche on the body but it is a Fiat Punto underneath.
Good deal but Ebuyer...

I implore you to make sure it isn't your only "backup". Verify your backups regularly so that they are working when you need them.
