what do you guys think to this for 1TB?

i think it sounds good for the price
just worried about the review left on amazon

This is an outright lie! I bought one of these based on this kind of marketing rubbish and when it's in use the high speed, noisy fan is audible all round the house, it's made even worse by the fact that the fan constantly starts & stops.

I also had problems with data loss as described by the amazon review, I would STEER WELL CLEAR of this device. Get a Western Digital My Book 2 Essential instead (£114 at amazon), I replaced the Lacie with one of these, it's silent and has worked perfectly for six months now.
