You could by such a beautiful vostok with £60, find a nice seiko 5 on ebay or something. I know if you compare it to rrp or whatever, its a deal but brand fashion watches just make me a bit sad. Heat for the deal none the less.

Real opinion is feared on this site so you have to try and be nice because everyone gets so easily offended. A rude person would say this is a rip off fashion brand piece of crap for chavs and I'm voting cold.

You are completely entitled to have your own opinion, just giving an option which maybe a good choice for someone.
For anyone thinking about this purchase, take my advise and pass.

This is not a good watch. Lacoste don’t make watches. This is just rebadged garbage. For this money you can get a nice quartz watch from an actual reputable watch brand, or a mechanical watch for not much more money from the likes of Seiko/Orient. Much, much better value than paying £60 for a watch that’s practically worthless with a polo shirt brand printed on the dial.

But for my teenage son who loves the brand it's perfect so each to their own. Make an informed decision depending on what your preferences.

I guess if he enjoys it that’s the main thing, my comment wasn’t intended to upset but rather to make folk aware who may be taken in by the brand name.

I wonder if your son may enjoy an automatic movement more for not much extra - it’s pretty interesting having a watch that requires no battery right? Or a kitted our G-Shock that powers itself via solar and automatically updates the time via radio waves - those are in Argos at £75. Of course he may prefer the Lacoste watch and that’s fine, but worth considering.

No upset, completely understand that the watch is name rather than being the best watch out there, but for him its what he wants and obviously better at half price. My other son has a G-Shock and loves it.
