heat from me (I don't like the design but the price is very good)

horrendous reviews!

no good for me

Oh dear, read the reviews and did u see the pic of one persons back Tyre! heat for price

Reviews are good, to read lol

Really want a classic style bike as my bad back not great on mountain bike style and was so excited to see this as they quite expensive , then I read the reviews so I shall not be buying one yet :-(

+7.95 delivery.....:(

these bikes are and will be made from seconds (i.e. inferior parts that don't make quality control) bike parts hence the poor quality and cheap prices

What do you expect for a bike that costs less than 2 half decent b Nike tyres? Worth it alone for the Sturmy Archer hub. These retail at over £60.
Voted hot for that alone.

*Bike* not *b Nike*.Bluddy predictive text

Don't know if I should live wild and take a chance?

it's a bike. it's 40 quid. No brainer.

I really wanted to buy this but the reviews have put a stop to that, £40 seems cheap but looks like too much hassle, unfortunately

You can't fault the price so heat.
21.7kg of scrap metal could be worth a few bob.

Would have liked a bike, but having seen the reviews, i'd rather that £40 go towards something better.

heat for price, got my classic bike from Halford paid arm and a leg for it but it was so worth it x

so if i was selling a bag of doody for a hundred quid and then reduced it to 30 would you buy it from me? because, if you would, i'm looking for some distribution for my product and i can guarantee an uninterrupted supply...

Call the midwife! Good deal though heat added

Cheap but probably (definitely) not worth it when you know that in 3 months you'll have to bring it to the shops to fit a new break / pedal / saddle / chain / hub etc.

TESCO Life Insurance Coverage For As Little As £4. For when you brakes fall off.

£40!! It's worth buying that to hang on the wall as a decoration or as a garden ornament to plant some flowers in a couple of baskets, or just leave it on the stand and use it as an exercise bike in front of Corrie! :-)

I think these cheap bike shaped objects should actually be illegal

Wow awesome

Got this bike for Christmas, absolutely fuming it's so cheap now. My old bike was falling apart, rusty and noisy so I was glad to get a new bike...at the time. I should state I'm a big fan of the style, and my old bike was similar looking.

Be warned, when it arrives, you'll have to piece the whole thing together yourself, fine if you like a DIY project but if you don't know anything about bikes, it's a nightmare.

I had to send mine back because the tyre was dented/buckled - the box had an obvious hole. The second one arrived with slightly less of a dent so I settled, apparently it's a reoccuring problem - they just don't ship them carefully enough and you usually don't realise the tyre is buckled until you've put the damn thing together!

Despite using it to get to/from work, I personally hate the bike. I wish we didn't take my old rust bucket bike to the dump. For one, it's super uncomfortable to ride, I'm not short and even at the lowest seat setting the seat hurts your...delicates.
It's MASSIVE!! The bike is SO HEAVY, any slight inclination and it's a struggle - even with the gears.

£40 is an absolute bargain for any bike but if you in any way want to enjoy cycling I'd give it a miss.

Probably find in the small print you won't be covered riding this bike....

Buying this bike is cheaper than getting a new Sturmey Archer 3spd hub + shifter

Iv ordered one. If its **** i am sure it will make a decrative garden ornament

Heat added!!

Its obviously for Maaiirryy Poppins (dick van dyke)

Think I'll buy it just for the mudguards and pannier rack!
hot

I bought this and a little basket for the front as I found a little fella that wanted to phone home but he tricked me and stole my Tesco points and fecked orf....;-)

Ordered in haste. Cancelled now after reading reviews

Are you a cretin? Read carefully. I'll do my best to keep this simple.
I said that the Sturmy Archer hub retails at over £60. This alone makes it worth buying the bike to strip down and re-use components. This is GOOD if you make your own bikes as I do, or even as a repair spare.

Not sure how you think this compares to your idea of buying a worthless bag of doody. Unless doody has instrinsic value that you are too stupid to recognise or make use of.

Maybe the wheel was buckled?

You have to laugh at these discounted price bike threads.

Most of the complaints that you read are from completely clueless folks that cannot adjust or maintain simple mechanical objects.

Many moons ago, I used to work in bicycle shop, when I was a student - I understand there is a world of difference in the quality of bikes.

I recently picked up an as new Raleigh MTB for the princely sum of £10 and I'm very impressed with it overall - especially for the price - it's a made in England model with Cromoly frame too!

For £40 this will suit the type of person that just wants to go out for an occasional tootle about the village or town. Yes it might need a bit of tuning to get it set up and yes it might need a bit more fiddling around but if the original price is accurate it has to be fairly reasonable.

I've bought bikes for $40 in Walmart, in the USA and they are cheaply built but one of them is 10+ years old and still going fine...it isn't used much to be honest but it's in the garage if it ever needs used and that normally only means pumping up the tyres....

Hot deal. You have to be a genuine moron to spend more than 100 bones on a bike, unless you're planning on doing the Tour de France. It's two wheels with a pedal. It hardly has an engine does it. Technology hasn't changed in 100 years. It's a bike. People who spend 1,000 bones on a bike need to get their head checked.

As you say, for anyone who knows even a little about bicycles could make this a decent enough A to B chariot I love the styling and if my partner didn't already have a bike, or more importantly, rode the damn thing, then this would be in my basket straight away.

I'm adding heat, even if it is junk, then as someone else said, sturmey archer 3 speed can get some money back.
