Lagavulin 8 Year Old Limited Release Malt Whisky, 70 cl - £41.19 from Amazon (Prime)

Adding to the excellent price drops on Islay whiskys today at Amazon, the limited edition (celebrating Lagavulin's 200 years of distilling) Lagavulin 8 year old whisky is now at the lowest price its ever been according to the 3camels

FYI: The Lagavulin 16 has also dropped in price and is actually cheaper than this 8 (posted already on HUKdeals) - but this 8yo is in my opinion a different and excellent dram

I did say that the 16yo was much cheaper in my post, The 8yo and 16yo are quite different whiskys - in my (and many other online reviews), the 8yo limited edition holds its own against the 16yo, and unlike the 16 which is a 'standard' bottling (which I have also bought today as per my comment on the other thread) and will be continuously available, the 8yo is of limited stock / availability

In any event I think the abundance of good whisky deals is great for us all. I'm not here to convince you or others whether the 8yo is better or not - what one likes in a whisky is very individual - this is the best price this excellent whisky has been and I for one have ordered, thought others may like to also know...

Thanks - happy for Mods to delete this thread

Seems expensive for a 8yo whisky in my humble limited opinion!

But I understand ur point regards difference in age! I like Aberlour 10yo but can't stand the 12yo! no idea what they did for the extra 2 years but I don't think I'm on my own because the 12yo is nearly always cheaper in the supermarkets!

Really? Because the Aberlour 10 appears almost on permanent offer of £20, I'm wondering if it holds the record for most posts on this site. Personally I much prefer the 12, but taste is subjective.
