The frozen types are cheap and taste far better.

I was just going to type that! The vinegar reacts with the garlic to produce sulphur which makes the product not taste the same as fresh garlic.
The Chinese Lee Kum Kee minced garlic (although it's more like chopped) has no vinegar in it and tastes like the real thing.

They use citric acid, much less objectionable!
Still prefer frozen versions though, but not Cofresh, it's a horrible coiour!
